Great apartment in historical building located right in the heart of Trastevere just few steps away from the Basilica of Santa Cecilia. Large living-room, great sleeping area on upper loft, full kitchen, new bathroom and plenty of closet space. Spacious, bright, and completely furnished. Sleeps 3 (1 dbl + 1 sgl), Tv, Dvd player, WiFi Internet Connection, ceiling fans, 3rd floor, no lift. All utilities included. Very quiet, safe and beautiful area.
this is a comfortable, adorable apartment in a quiet (in march at least), idyllic, and less-touristed corner of rome that is nevertheless within walking distance of all the major sites. the place has personality and charm, and danilo was a helpful, funny host, quick to respond to any questions. i would stay here again in a second.
Danilo's place is in a lovely old building in a wonderful location. The apartment itself is clean, gracious and welcoming with great art. The sleeping loft ceiling is very low (you cannot stand up in it), but the bed is comfortable. There are huge windows, high ceilings and lots of light. Thankyou, Danilo, for a wonderful stay in Rome!
This well-styled apartment in Trastevere was awesome and the best place we stayed in Rome. It's near enough to partake in all the exciting nightlife the neighbourhood has to offer; but, just far enough away to ensure a quiet night's rest. Danilo is a terrific host!!! Every detail was considered, making use of the space comfortable, efficient, and stylish. Danilo has great taste in art and decor, which really made the place feel like home. Meeting us when we arrived and seeing us off to the airport, Danilo was a great conversationalist and gave us lots of tips about Rome.
Danillo was the perfect host - the flat was charming and the location was excellent. We would definitely return.
I cannot recommend Danilo and his apartment highly enough. It's smart, safe, clean and full of books and funky modern art. The location is perfect, right in the trendy Trastevere with ace eateries right on the doorstep Had a glorious meal at Le Mani In Pasta, which you can see from the living room window. The bed was very comfortable and despite a little street noise I slept soundly. Danilo is warm, friendly and eager to help. The only downer was the internet not working. But again Danilo was very apologetic and did all he could to solve the problem. Bottom line: very, very happy with my stay and keen to return again in the future. Grazie mille, Danilo!
Danilo was an incredibly accomodating host, and was kind enough to wait for me when I was late arriving from the airport. The apartment is in a fabulous location--I was able to comfortably walk to the major sites and also enjoy cafes and restaurants in the same neighborhood. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Rome.
"We had a wonderful time in Danilo's apartment. It was homey and just what we needed. Danilo was gracious and funny and attentive to making sure all went well. He's a charming and sweet man. And, as they say, the place is close to everything you want to be near, even a little hardware store for tape to repair our luggage. But beware, no matter when you try to go to Enzo's, you will wait 40 minutes. Andree and I used that line for every restaurant in every city we went. Forty minutes."
Moi j'ai apprécié les transports publics mais aussi les marches très agréables possibles à proximité de Tratevere ..Une adresse à conseiller.

I'd researched apartments in Rome for months and got many, "we're booked for your dates" responses This was odd being that "my dates" where in the search criteria. Ultimately, I realized that all of these responses where from people who were managing (not particularly well) many, many apartments and hadn't kept their available date information up to date. I then decided to change my method and only search for apartments where the renter had one apartment, hoping to get a more personal response. Viola! I worked like a charm and we found Danilo!
Our stay at Danilo's Trastevere apartment was perfect in every way. Danilo was the most thoughtful, caring and charming host. He stayed in close communication from the beginning by promptly answering my questions about the apartment before we booked. He continued to be available and helpful our entire stay which made a huge difference in our ability to settle in and enjoy ourselves from the start.
The apartment was clean and we we're given everything we needed; towels, extra blankets and pillows, maps and suggestions of where to eat.
The Trastevere area of Rome is gorgeous! The apartment is upstairs and looks out over a corner where everything is close by within walking distance. The area is bustling with wonderful people but not noisy in the evening. There's a great espresso bar 20 steps from the door where Luciano (the owner) serves exquisite espresso and pastries as well as absolutely amazing meals.
I should add that when it was time to leave Danilo met us and walked us to the taxi wanting to make sure we got a ride to our car rental at the best rate.
We plan to book a long term stay with Danilo and we can't wait to return.
Great area, great apartment. We had a really fantastic time in Rome. Overall a really great experience & I would recommend Danilo's apt. He was a very helpful host
Danilo's apartment was our first experience with airbnb and it was a great one. He provided excellent communication prior to our arrival and during our stay. The apartment is in a great location and true to its description (the photos depict the loft being low and it is, the stairs to the loft are also narrow). We were able to walk to cafes, restaurants and to all of the main sights. The apartment was clean and had all the required amenities. We unfortunately didn't have any luck with the Internet stick but there is wifi nearby. Overall a great apartment and a great experience.
