A beautiful Gypsy Caravan in the heart of North York Moors, within walking distance of the pretty village of Lealholm and a short car journey to Whitby.
The wagon is situated inside a hill looking over the Esk Valley with truly stunning views. It shares the hill with a Yurt but remains completely private and secluded.
The site is offgrid and is the perfect place to relax and listen to nothing but the birdsong around you as you escape the hustle and bustle of modern life.

The space
The Gypsy wagon is situated in its own private space with an area to sit as well as a place to cook "alfresco" should the mood take you.
Inside its cosy and warm, heated by a cute woodburner. There are pots and pans included as well as a small gas burner for cooking. Under the bed is an antique chest with books and games for you to use.
The electricity is provided by solar panels but only bring appliances powered by USB leads as normal plugs dont work. Phone leads, ipad leads etc. are fine.
The toilet is a compost loo a short walk away with a hot water sink next to it. The showers are a five minute walk back to the farm.

Where you’ll be

North Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom

We are very lucky to live in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and be only a 20 minute walk away from the pretty village of Lealholm. The village boasts many amenities including a good pub, great shop, post office, garden centre and tea rooms. Towards Danby is the National Parks Moors Centre which is a must for anyone wanting to get acquainted with the area. There is also a bike hire place and cafe in the valley of Fryup which the Game Larder looks over. The area is amazing for walking and I am happy to help you out with any questions or suggestions for nearby walks.

Further afield is Whitby which is about a 20 minute drive away. There are many traditional moorland villages to explore all within a 30 minute drive including Rosedale, Goathland, Farndale, and Grosmont. The beautiful fishing villages of Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay are also well worth a visit.
