A wonderfully appointed place on a quiet street in the heart of all SE Portland has to offer. Deluxe bathroom and fully stocked kitchen. Spa in back with container plants - soft lighting at night. Soft comfy couch in the living room and a deck with couch. Elegance meets cozy.

NOT A PARTY HOUSE

ZERO MUSIC - AT ALL - AFTER 9PM - NO LOUD VOICES OUTSIDE

This is why we can't have nice things!

The abuse of Scarlett's hospitality leads to serious repercussions. I can’t stress this enough. If you invite more people over than you booked for, you must let me know prior to booking. After 8pm the headcount in the house must be no more than 6. There is a $25 charge for every guest found on the property after 8pm not included in the reservation. The number of people entering the house is monitored via video camera outside the house. If you are having a family gathering from 3pm-8pm, that is acceptable, but prior arrangements must be made and anyone not included in the number of guests in the booking after 8pm will be charged a $25 fee automatically no questions asked.

ZERO MUSIC - AT ALL - AFTER 9PM
The first time you get a knock on the door after 9pm to turn the music off, a $10 charge. The second knock on the door after 9pm, $50 charge. There will not be a third knock, just a call to the police.

Checking in: (after 4pm)
- extra beds: the couch can sleep 2 and there is an air mattress in the closet of the bedroom that is off the kitchen
- regular updates on etas and departures are very helpful

Checking out: (before 11am)
- Please run the dishwasher before leaving, even for just a few pieces of dishware
- Place used towels in white woven hamper in bathroom
- REMEMBER to look around for forgotten items. If I need to mail you back anything it’s a $50 fee
- DO NOT JAM THE KEYBOX. Use the CLEAR button at the bottom and try the code again. Do not jam the keybox door, or I will request a repair fee of $20. If you still cannot get the door closed, just put the key under the mat.

Neighbors and ZERO MUSIC - AT ALL - AFTER 9PM: The house is only available as an airbnb through the kindness of our neighbors. There is only five feet between the houses. We want you to have fun, but the risk in noise complaints from the neighbors is a major concern and a threat to Scarlett’s survival as an airbnb. Don't be the one that ruins it for everybody else. This is a working class neighborhood and folks like their peace and quiet.

Pets: an additional $20 dollar one time pet fee per stay.

Deck and Spa: The light switch on the deck is right by the back door. To remove the cover, fold it over, and push towards the shed wall. Remember to replace the spa cover when finished.
You can shove from one side to the other to get it halfway across the spa, then flip the cover back over.

Cars, trains, bikes: Public bikes(orange Biketown bike) are for rent at 21st and Clinton, a few blocks away. They can be rented very cheaply hourly and only $12 for the whole day. Uber or Lyft is never more than 5 mins away. You can catch the 4 on division to downtown, or take Max orange line train at 12th and clinton to downtown

Groceries: New Seasons (20th and Division) is like a local Whole Foods, everything an educated food consumer could ever want. New Seasons hot food bar and salad bar is the cheapest, easiest way to feed yourself when you’re needing something quick. Safeway is at 27th and Hawthorne if you want all the mainstream brands. Fred Meyer( 39th and Hawthorne )offers everything under the sun, like a local Target.

Restaurants: (^ = walkable, * = personal favorite)
This would take way too long to really do justice. The best thing about Portland is that it’s incredibly easy to find truly excellent food.

RESTAURANTS BY MEAL:
Dollar oysters at Jacqueline Clinton & 21st, 5-7 M-S. Get there early.
Breakfast: ^*Pine State Biscuits, ^Genies
Lunch: ^*New Seasons, the food carts at 12th and Hawthorne(Chicken n Guns personal favorite) , ^*The Baker’s Mark
Dinner: ^*Pok Pok, ^*Teote, ^Bollywood Theater
Pizza: The 7 dollar carryout special from ^Dominos. ^*Hammy’s ^*BlackBird Pizza, *Hotlips, ^* Scotties. ^* The food carts at 11th and Hawthorne(Hawthorne Asylum)

But really pick a place blindly on the map and you are likely to not be disappointed. Portland has the most restaurants and bars per capita in the US. And The Washington Post just named Portland the best food city in the US.

Bars and Breweries: ^Apex, ^*Beermongers, ^*Nightlight, ^*Dots, ^*Clinton St. Pub, ^Double Barrel, *Gigantic, *Hair of the Dog. Portland has more breweries than any other city in the world.

Parking: You can pretty much always find parking within the block, Dotty has actually never seen anyone towed. Dotty doesn’t miss having a driveway.

Safety: Portland has a much lower crime rate than similar American cities of its size. Even though there are a lot of homeless, they are generally survivalists and not criminals. You can expect to see them struggling to find their way. But despite the high homeless population, this is a safe neighborhood with expensive homes and well tended gardens.

Enjoy the comfort and relaxation Scarlett brings to all her guests.

Where you’ll be

Portland, Oregon, United States

This a classic Portland neighborhood very close to downtown. Division St is five blocks away with nationally recognized cuisine in walking distance. Super close to the best local grocery store New Seasons. Pine State biscuits, pok pok, Ava Genes all in the neighborhood. Great bars, concert venues and nightlife all within walking distance. Great tree lined streets, community life and historic homes all within blocks. People here take care of their gardens, nurture their young, and enjoy a high quality of life outdoors.
