Although close to local activity, the house provides peacefulness and privacy, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the marvelous view from the terrace.
The house is also 2-minutes walk away from the Public Parking Area, and 5-minutes walk away from Oia Central Bus Station, providing convenient car or bus transportations to other attractions of Santorini.

  • We had the most amazing stay at the Cave House. It is truly wonderful! The location is absolutely perfect to enjoy your time in Oia. It is centrally located and close to everything you could need, but as soon as you enter the gate and climb the steps, you have complete privacy and quiet. The house itself is beautiful and unique, with high ceilings and plenty of space. It is well stocked with everything you might need to be comfortable, and it is very clean and well-maintained. The two private terraces are ideal for enjoying the sunshine or watching the sunset and the views are amazing.

Giannis is an outstanding host, and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was very attentive and helpful with everything from recommending restaurants and activities to arranging rides to and from the airport for us. If there is anything you need, just ask and Giannis will be able to help you!

My family and I had an amazing time in Oia and loved staying in the Cave House. I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Santorini. You will love it! My only problem is that we couldn't stay longer!

  • Six months ago we were planning our five year anniversary and decided to go to Greece. Hector's Cave was the first place that caught our eye and after a ton of research, ended up booking it for five nights. It was the best decision we made! It was our first experience using AirBnB and are so glad we did. Giannis was simply incredible and we never even got to meet him. From the moment we booked, he was SO helpful with everything from an airport transfer, to offering setting up our activities. The home itself was absolutely PERFECT. Oia is amazing and the cave is located conveniently near the sunset, lots of restaurants and the splendid Ammoudi Bay. There is an upstairs veranda that had a hammock that we practically lived in during the day. We bought food to make breakfast every morning and loved getting to sit on the porch with food and coffee and the water right in front. I promise, you will love staying here.

  • We stayed 3 nights in mid November at the Hector cave house, after a month long vacation. It couldn't have been better. It was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. We spent many hours on the deck just staring at the incredible view. I just wished we would have stayed longer.
Giannis was extremely helpful, send us a lot of information before our trip and even met us in Athens for a drink before we left for Santorini. He arranged transfers for us and help with our luggage. We will definitely be back.
    thank you, Giannis.

  • Giannis was the perfect host!

A close friend and I were planning a last minute trip to celebrate my birthday and were in dire need of lodging in Oia. One look at this place online and we were sold. When we arrived, it was as amazing and breathtaking as the pictures and reviews say (actually, even better!). The location is perfect, very close to the main stops but private enough to get away. The views are spectacular, the house is in great shape with plenty of leisure reading materials and information about Oia. The list goes on and on and on.

What I appreciated most from the stay was the personal touch. Pre-arrival, we received plenty of information from Giannis on how to maximize our short stay. Unfortunately for us, due to airline delay, we missed our connecting flight to Santorini and thus were a day late to Oia. Not only did Giannis have a birthday card waiting in the apt (pre-arranged with my friend who helped book), he also gave us a refund for the night missed. And that was not all, he was available at all times, and very enthusiastic to help in all facets, from dining ideas to transportation. He even checked on us post-departure!!

By far, our experience at Hector Cave house was the highlight of last minute Greece escape. He deserves all the great reviews and our only complaint is that we had to leave.

    Thank you Giannis!!!!

  • We had an amazing time. I cannot find one criticism. The view was second to none, the Cave House cozy and spotless. We can't find one suggestion to make anyone's stay better. We are techies; there were plenty of outlets for our needs, the kitchen was well stocked with gadgets for our morning coffee fresh feta, olives and breads from the local market! It was heaven. Giannis was a attentive host, finding laundry service and help with our bags. He was a phone call away. Truly magnificent.

  • My husband, Phil, and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hector Cave House. Giannis was a fantastic host providing us with all of the logistics to get to Oia from the ferry port to arranging transportation and sending us maps or Oia, things to do, places to eat and so much more. We could not have had a better experience. The location of Hector Cave house was amazing. We were so close to the famous castle and sunset, lots of restaurants, shops and Amoundi bay. We will recommends this place to anyone travelling to Santorini. Giannis was so kind as to show us around in Athens as well and recommended some amazing restaurants. We had a fabulous honeymoon and this was one of our favorite places.

  • Hector Cave House was the highlight of our trip to Santorini! The view from this place is just breathtaking, and it was so beautiful waking up every morning and being able to enjoy breakfast on your own balcony with views that people would pay big dollars for. Giannis was an excellent host and he made sure we were taken care of. The place was perfect - very clean, great location just a few steps from the best sunset views, and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Santorini!

  • My Boyfriend and I just returned from Hector Cave House at the end of September and it was absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for anything better! The location was perfect- close to many restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, a public pool (all within walking distance). The bus station was also walkable and very easy to use to get around. The view from the TWO balconies is absolutely stunning- I could have just sat there all day! The house is very spacious and has everything that you would need. We were able to cook breakfast and lunch in the house each day and enjoy it on the balcony overlooking the caldera. Giannis was an excellent host, he provided us with tons of information and was always available to answer our calls and emails. Giannis assisted us in planning all of our excursions and transfers and was wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend staying at the Hector Cave house- we will definitely be back! My only complaint is that we couldnt have stayed longer!
Thank you Giannis for a wonderful vacation!

  • If you are looking for an affordable place in Oia, with AMAZING caldera views, look no further than this place. The apartment is depicted accurately in the pictures. You have two great balconies to enjoy, strong wifi, comfortable bed and AC. We would wake up every morning and just admire the beauty of Oia. It is less than a min walk to where people gather for the sunset and is a very short stroll to the main walk way but secluded enough where it's very peaceful at night. It's also close to the steps heading down to Ammoudi bay.
Zizimos arranged for our transfers to and from the airport. He also gave us handy tips on what to do and where to eat. When we arrived, he even called us to greet and welcome us to his place.
The best part about this place is at night, after dinner, my husband and I would bring back a bottle of wine and drink outside the balcony, enjoying the cool breeze.
I HIGHLY recommend this place. At such a great value, you will be saving your $$$$ by staying here than in a boutique hotel.
Did I mention it has not one, but two, private balconies?

  • Hector Cave house... Wow! What an amazing place to stay!

Oia has to be one of the most photogenic places on this planet. And Hector Cave certainly didn't disappoint in allowing us to explore the town.... It was literally 100m from the headland from which the famous sunsets are viewed. So increadibly central with the entire town walking distance from Hector Cave

As for the cave house itself... Firstly it is huge. Far bigger than we expected from the photos seen here. The celaings are high. The bedroom and bed perfect for a romantic getaway. The bathroom has been recently renovated still true to cave house design. As for the two balconies... spectacular, relaxing, quiet, AND all to yourself.

Giannis was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was increadibly helpful, contactable and informative. He sent a detailed email with directions, as well as local information, and island highlights. We were met on arrival by his friend while Giannis was in Athens.

We would definitely consider staying at Hectors again. Highly recomended

All photos are true and acurate

Thank you Giannis for a wonderful stay!

Hi there, I am Giannis, 33 years old and I grew up in Athens. After studying and working abroad (UK and Switzerland) for 5 years,I decided to come back in Greece and work for a family business. In 1998 my parents visited Santorini Island and they fell in love with Oia village where they bought that picturesque cave house… Since then all about my summer vacations is to lay back at that terrace and admire the spectacular view. Traveling is to share… There is no better way of doing this, other than sharing the experience with other travelers. Of course I will not lose any chance to discover unique destinations like Santorini around the world…
