Although close to local activity, the house provides peacefulness and privacy, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the marvelous view from the terrace.
The house is also 2-minutes walk away from the Public Parking Area, and 5-minutes walk away from Oia Central Bus Station, providing convenient car or bus transportations to other attractions of Santorini.

Amazing location. Super close to the castle ruins. Wonderful to wake up grab some tea and walk out the door and watch the sunrise. I did not want to leave. Santorini is amazing and Hector's Cave House is a great place to stay. Giannis was a wonderful host and available by phone at any time. I wish I had been able to meet him in person to say Thank You for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful house. I would/am recommending this to any of my friends staying in Santorini.
Giannis was very proactive in contacting me early & arranged transportation from the airport to his place. His friend opened up the place for us as he was in Athens. The reviewers were right that the place is even more gorgeous than the pictures. Words can't begin to describe the view & the ambiance. The house is 5 mins walking distance to the bus station which you can take to Fira & the other parts of the island. It is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook a full breakfast, bonus is the Illy coffee machine which he provided come capsules that makes an amazing cuppa. He constantly stayed in touched with us & recommended some nice restaurants & places to go. Also emailed us the map of Oia. He provided a cot for our 3 yr old too. We were supposed to meet up in Athens after but the rain was too heavy, it was unfortunate. We would definitely stay here again.
Giannis was the best host ever! He went out of his way to meet us in person first in Athens and sent detailed information on the history of the home and anything you need to know about Oia and Santorini. He even helped arrange an airport transfer. The home is amazing and one of the best spots we've ever rented. Location is great and the views were spectacular. If you're looking for a spot in Oia, this is the place to go!
We had arranged a airport transfer through Giannis and it went perfectly. The cave house is PERFECT!! Nice size with a small but useable kitchen. The views from the verandah are AMAZING. The place was very clean and we had no trouble communicating with Giannis who was a great host. Would love to stay here again.
Hector Cave House is an amazing place to stay if you find yourself in Santorini! It has incredible views from both patio areas and is very cozy inside. Giannis is a great host. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet him but he arranged for a transfer to get us to the house from the ferry port. Someone was there waiting for us to help with luggage and explain details of the house and we did get a welcome call from Giannis as soon as we arrived. He also arranged for a second transfer the day we left as we had a very early flight to catch. All photos are accurate but even photos cannot put into the words the beauty of the view. I highly suggest a stay at Hector Cave House. I'm already having withdrawals.
Giannis is textbook perfect model of what an AirBNB host should be. He is friendly, communicative, on top of all the details, and there to help at the moment needed. The place is exactly as described, there is plenty of space, and the owner provides many things in the kitchen like hot water boiler, espresso maker, even an American coffee maker for us Yankees. I didn't cook but I did use the fridge to store pastries and leftovers which saved me money and was nice to have cereal and coffee early in the morning without having to go out. The wifi worked fine, and I loved having not one but two patios to use. Just a great place overall, highly recommended!
My wife an me had a great week on Santorini at Hector Cave house. Giannis is a perfect host. He was not on the island during our stay, but we were just arrived, when he called us to make sure, that everything is okay and to assure us, that we could call him 24 hours a day, when we schould have questions or need any help. A really warm welcome.
The house is really beautiful and nice decorated. But the best is the "Million-Dollar-View" from the two terrasses. You are overlooking the whole caldera. Unbelievable and much nor spektacular than the pictures are.
In our opinion Oia is the place to stay, when you visit Santorini. The location of Hector Cave house is perfect, close to restaurants and shops.
We can Giannis and Hector Cave house highly recommend to all visitors of Santorini.
I am Giannis, 34 years old and I grew up in Athens.
After studying and working abroad (UK and Switzerland) for 5 years,I decided to come back in Greece and work for a family business.
In 1998 my parents visited Santorini Island and they fell in love with Oia village where they bought that picturesque cave house…
Since then all about my summer vacations is to lay back at that terrace and admire the spectacular view.
Traveling is to share…
There is no better way of doing this, other than sharing the experience with other travelers.
Of course I will not lose any chance to discover unique destinations like Santorini around the world…
