The Casale has a dimension of 500 sq.m. The external and internal walls of local stone and the rooms have wooden beam ceilings. The building is in total harmony with the local environment and dominates a wide angle view of Rome.
There are three two room appartments with ensuite bathroom and two rooms with a shared bathroom. Breakfast is served in the large lounge area or outside in the garden.
This is a lovely spot outside of Rome!!
The pictures very well represent the space and the locale. The B and B is near a quaint castle town and close to shopping and amenities in Palestrina (which is a serviceable town but not overly picturesque). The place is impeccably clean and well maintained and the proprietors clean daily and bring in-room breakfast supplies.
The trip into Rome is a very reasonable day trip by train from Zagarola (which is a 15 minute drive from the Ginestre).
Paola and Giuseppe are lovely hosts who couldn't be more gracious and hospitable. They don't speak much English and sadly, we don't speak any Italien but they were still able to communicate their welcoming attitude towards us.
The only difficulty for us was that the internet required sitting outside on the patio. Hopefully this won't matter much for most people who are, hopefully, on vacation and on light use of internet. For that usage it's completely fine. We are still working while we travel so it was a bit of a challenge but made better by our hosts concern for our comfort and offers of wine and coffee.
Highly recommended for a great view of Rome, access to the center and a very comfortable and welcoming environment.
