About this listing
Enjoy New York City they way it was meant to be enjoyed.
My huge, stylish apartment is located less than one block from the entrance to the 14th Street A/C/E and L station. It
It's located at the intersection of three of New York's hottest neighborhoods, the West Village, Meatpacking District, and Chelsea.
Just steps away some of the city's hottest attractions including Highline Park, Greenwich Ave, Chelsea Market, the Standard Hotel, and hundreds of great bars and restaurants.
It's subway stops from 42nd Street, where you can walk to the Javits Center
The apartment is over 700 square feet (bigger than most you'll find in NYC) and features original artwork and mid century furniture with modern accents (think MadMen).
In addition to the bed in the bedroom, the living room couch turns into a very comfortable, full sized bed. It's not Ikea rather Bo Concept (high end Scandinavian design).
The apartment can comfortably accommodate four people.
There's also a dining room table which can extend and accommodate 8 people. Feel free to use the wine fridge, just in case you want to keep your vintage at its perfect temperature.
Wifi, kitchen, wine friedge
I don't really have lot's of rules. My aim is that you make yourself comfortable and at home while in the apartment. Please do cook, use the wine glasses, watch the TV, play music, use the exercise equipment, play the playstation, relax, and enjoy yourself. I just ask that you treat my home the same way that you would like me to treat your home. Just do that, and everything is cool.
Very big place that's right next to a bunch of restaurants, bars, clubs. Also close to the ACE trains and an avenue away from 123. Communication with Daniel was easy and though we had an issue getting into the apartment at first, it was quickly resolved.
Would definitely stay again!
Daniels place was amazing. Really great location and huge by NewYork standards.
check in and out was really easy and Daniel was so helpful and answered any questions I had promptly. He even let me have a super late check out which I really appreciated.
Looking forward to staying again soon.
The appartment was perfect , situation perfect and very good for 2/4 people.
If i come back to NYC i will be stay in this flat
Daniel is a good man
The location of Daniel's unit is great for getting around the city and conveniently located to great restaurants, etc. and Daniel gave us some great suggestions. However, we were very disappointed with our experience. The unit was not clean and when we arrived dishes were on the counter drying and food was out. Furthermore, the bed was quite uncomfortable and both myself and my husband woke up with a backache. One suggestion for the bedroom, move the bed away from the wall. It felt quite claustrophobic sleeping against the wall.
The shower faucet was broken, pointed out by Daniel, and Daniel was nice enough to tell us he would give us a credit. It ended up being quite inconvenient as we had to allow people in to view the faucet in preparation for repair while we were trying to get showered and ready (kind of hard with a broken faucet) to meet our check out time which Daniel was very strict about.
The main reason we like to use airbnb instead of staying in a hotel is because we like to hang out in the morning over a nice cup of coffee before we start the day. Unfortunately the unit is very dark and there was no coffee pot so we went out for coffee :(
We had 7 nights at Daniel's place, but unfortunately we did not have a great experience. We met Daniel and he was very nice and made some nice recommendations, and although the flat is in a great spot, the flat itself is not what it looks like. It is very dark as the windows are facing a wall, so unless you have your lights on in the morning you won't be able to see a thing. To make it worse on that matter the light bulb in the kitchen went off and although we asked Daniel for a replacement that was not done so we had to make do in the dark. On our first night we realised the mattress and bed were curved and woke up with backache the next day. For the following nights we had to sleep with the mattress on the floor. But the worse was the state of the bathroom. It was covered in hairs of everyone else but ours. There was an anti-slippery rug in the bath which obviously hadn't been changed or cleaned for a long time. As I removed it a crust of dirt was left on the bath. I could see the bath was also peeling its colour but the crust of dirt was obvious. I complained about this to Daniel, who replaced the rug but didn't clean the bath. Being a host myself for AirBnB I am very disappointed and will think twice before booking with AirBnB again.
The apartment and the location were both great. The flat was clean and very quiet, and had everything we needed. Overal, we were very satisfied with our stay. I would definitely recommend this flat.
Daniel was great to deal with, easily contactable and helpful, especially when we needed his help getting into the apartment. Apartment was pretty spacious with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Great location in hip up market area -Chelsea, wish we had longer to stay!
