Our hosts went way above and beyond to take care of us. We were exhausted from our journey and quite lost. Richard met us and showed us the way back, then drove us to dinner and picked us up. They are lovely hosts, catering to our every need. The setting and their home are beautiful.
I booked this on behalf of my uncle so I did not directly experience Lucy and Richards place but it was a lovely little house, full of character. Check in process was smooth and they were good at communicating. There were two of the children sleeping in one room and as they were unable to share Lucy kindly put in an extra bed within the room so everyone had their own bed which was very kind.
What a lovely home and Lucy and Richard make it your home away from home. The area is beautiful with lots of things to see and do. We enjoyed our stay. Paddy made you feel very special.
What a wonderful place, great bath, well-equipped kitchen, nice lounge room, we wish we had stayed longer. Lucy and Richard are really friendly and invited us to treat their house as our home. Would definitely recommend!
I did not stay here in the end - I had to change my plans. I told Lucy and Richard but did not hear back from them.
We had spent a really sweet time in the house. Lucy and Richard are really nice, we were talk a lot and watch tv togther. Hostess is really good at cooking. If we have a chance to visit their house again, we will booking a dinner with them! We really like it!
It was lovely to meet Richard and Lucy and their gorgeous dog Paddy (and the chooks).
The house is lovely some parts dating back to the 1800s.
It was a little squeezy for us having 3 people in our bedroom but we all slept well.
Richard and Lucy both had to go out shortly after we met them but they had time to recommend some places to eat.
We took up their recommendation of The Red Hart Bar & Restaurant, Kington and had a delicious meal and met Gabi and had a chat to her.
Richard was very helpful in the morning showing me directions to Cornwall on the map. Richard also had laid out a table for us with a great array of breakfast options. Croissants, cereal, toast, juice, tea & coffee.
The surrounding areas were very quiet and peaceful.
Would stay again. :)

Lucy & Richard have been happily married for 13 years and bought Corner House in 2011. We live here with our dog Paddy. Both Lucy & Richard work from home which provides our guests with accessibility to services and support 24/7. Richard comes from a farming background, and was a retained firefighter and driving instructor. Lucy has 15 years recruitment experience and has this year retrained and works as a full time Counsellor. We are both very friendly and supportive and we are looking forward to providing our guests with 1st class accommodation.
Richard loves being in the kitchen so if you require breakfast, lunch or dinner you will be in for a real treat.
We both like watching TV, reading and walking in the local area. There is also a local club near the house where we meet up with friends, and tennis courts in view of the house where we go for some exercise (occasionally!).
Our motto is to live well, laugh often, love much.
