The space
This property is vintage. The house is vintage. The trailer is vintage and we have vintage salon chairs. It’s a cultivated space designed for creative play.

DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU:
1.) don’t like old, vintage and weird things
2.) smoke cigarettes; you can NOT smoke anywhere on my property. I will ask you to leave if you do.
3.) don’t like shared spaces with other guests or me, the host. 👋
4.) don’t follow directions with regards to house rules.
5.) are up tight, low fun and not used to being around artists and creative weirdos.
6.) aren’t 420 friendly.
7.) want to use my house to get drunk at; I don’t mind mindful alcohol consumption but if you’re a bar hoping drunk-go elsewhere.
8.) are unkind, low contentious, and generally, not playful.
9.) like to nitpick things... my house is old but super cool. I don’t need complaints about my 100 year old doors being painted. They look great as they are. Lol 😂
10.) are adverse to play, fun and humor.

Oh did I say the house and interior experience are really old too? We use a live feed gas stove from the 50’s, a fridge from the 50’s and the sink from the mmmm, 60’s. We’ve got hard wood floors and roughed out brick. Bathroom is new (lol). The place is a “raw space” so if you like polished, new materials, this isn’t the habitat for you. Both artists that designed this space used only found materials.

Also, the house is over a 100 years old. We don’t have working locks on inside doors; only outside doors to the property and house. Please don’t stay here and then complain about locks on doors.

There’s awesome mid-modern furniture inside, books, art supplies to enjoy and instruments. You can interact and engage with anything you’d like, just take care of it so others can play too. This house is an art experience...a shared art experience. Please respect it as such or seek shelter elsewhere. See cool shit on insta @playgroundunderground

Lastly, we offer WiFi hotspots outside. If you need heavy streaming, you’ll need to use your data on your devices when outside. We currently have stable high speed WiFi in the house-not the trailer. We provide more details and check in instructions via video prior to your check in.

Describe me? This always feels like a job interview or dating... so I’ll avoid projecting as best I can and share that I’m weird, I try to be honest, I’m human and fallible. Sometimes funny. Sometimes serious. Occasionally complicated and frequently simple. I embrace living an authentic life but I’m not really sure what that means. I don't put much stock in "getting ahead, fitting in, money, corporate careers" or shit like that even though I have a business. I understand the game but don't always wanna play the way we're told to play. My personal life, work, relationships and travel all revolve around art, nature, people, connection, community and experiences. I like the weird. The funny. The unusual. The different. The creative. The eccentric. The unknown. I'll eat anything and love to explore. I appreciate seeing people “live” and “create.” I tend to talk a lot or be really quiet... and I also tend to not be offended if you ask me to stop talking or to start. I also tend to like a lot of alone time and personal space. Sitting on my own, staring at the clouds is fine with me. And I also make friends easily. For example, I can make friends with running water if you leave us alone for long enough. Overall, I love people. I love nature. I love books. I love art. I love music. I love being active and being outdoors as much as I love meandering around an art gallery for hours. Geeze, that is a lot of love...can you feel it in the air tonight? I also embrace the quintessential saying, "All things in moderation. Even moderation sometimes." So I live life to the fullest and appreciate all the nuances existence has to offer. There's so much to do, see, taste and feel before existing this crazy-mad-world. ;)

During your stay

I work on the property so you may see me and my associates in or around the design studio.

I also share the studio with Airbnb guests that request it. It doesn’t cost you anything - we just need to coordinate timing since I’m active in the studio. You can use it on your own (in privacy) or you can work in it, at the same time as me. It just depends on what’s going on-so let’s talk about usage.

If you’re a musician the same applies. You can have private space to play or we can jam. I do play almost every night.
