Also you can text or email me anytime.
We also do our best to keep our Suites presentable and clean to most standards, although this may not fit every single guest's expectations, so please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns as we are more than willing to attempt to accommodate all of our guests needs.
We are located just 100 meters from the village where you can find shops, restaurants, food...
If arriving by train we are located right on the road (via alla stazione) that links the train station to the village.
It is very easy to get to our house from the station:
Outside the station you take the green shuttle bus and ask the driver to drop you off at the "pubblica assistenza" stop since you need to go to "Casa Castellini".
In fact once off the bus you should go back down the road about 50 mt. and our house (green iron gate - Via alla stazione n° 14) is on the right hand (sea) side.
If you arrive by car you can stop and unload just in front of the house.
As for parking, remember that only white lines are free. Blue lines have a fee and yellow lines are reserved. To be sure always ask local police or the info center down at the station.

your friend gabriel was fantastic.
he was very helpful and easy to contact
Great little home. I think it was refurbished quite recently since we found the walls white and spotless, and some new cutlery/tools in the kitchen!
My husband and I fit comfortably with our toddler. Corniglia, the smallest of the towns, is a wonderful starting point for all of the hikes (you always head out down when the seaside paths are open). The people are wonderful, the few restaurants are quaint, and the views are spectacular. We were there in the winter, so didn't get to take advantage of the apartment's wonderful terrace, but loved being the only tourists in the whole town!
I loved this apartment. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the space had just been refurbished: walls were spotless and there was still that smell of fresh paint in the air (perhaps even too much the first night but then it was ok). There was plenty of room in the house with, I guess, some new furniture, and they had a washing machine! The terrace upstairs was comfortable with beautiful views of the Mediterranean on one side (maybe in summer with leaves and vegetation it might be less clear) and the hills and vineyards on the other. We didn't meet the owners but corresponded through email and found the key easily. Our dealings were with their friend Gabriel, who was awesome.
Location is great....walking distance to restaurants, Town center and train station. Central to all other towns in the cinque terre area.
Couldn't be happier with the apartment and Paolo as a host. I had another place booked in only to have it cancel on me the night before I flew out, extremely worried I would not find another place in time, I soon found Paolo's place and got a speedy response in time to re-assure me of my accommodation in Corniglia. I was met at the apartment by Paolo's friend Gabriel who was very welcoming, he showed me around the house and helped me with anymore information I needed. Paolo was soon in contact with information for Cinque Terre and to check up that I was happy with the place or if I needed anything. Even though I never got to meet Paolo as he works a little while away, he was always quick to respond and extremely helpful with everything, felt more like a friend lending you there holiday home trying everything possible to make sure my stay was a great one. Of all the 5 villages in Cinque Terre I found Corniglia where this apartment is located to be the most charming and favourite of the lot. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone for location, ease of contact with host if anything needed. Overall found the apartment quite spacious in comparison to other places I viewed. To me having my first place cancelled the night before my arrival was a blessing in disguise!
Thanks again for all your last minute help Paolo, made my trip!
Cinque Terra is an amazing thing to see. You must go. Corniglia is a perfect tiny town. Great cafe's great people. I never did meet Paola but I did meet Gabriel who gave us info and all we needed. The directions to the apartment were perfect. All the basics that you need are in the apartment. It is a beautiful place with a great patio area with a small view to the sea. Perfect for sipping coffee and wine as the sun comes up or goes down. The town is a perfect 2 minute walk away. Maybe even less. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain in the area before our stay and the apartment had a mold issue. Paola did what could be done with air fresheners and the like, but it was a bit uncomfortable due to the mold. It could just have been the recent rain that caused it. Other than that the place comes highly recommended.
Thanks for your review Barry. I really appreciate your comments!
As you said our area has been hit by exceptionally heavy rains yet again: there were floods all over the area and we are fortunate that Corniglia sits on top of a cliff so it is usually spared by them. But the humidity is just incredible and very difficult to cope with for everyone here in the village.
Having said that we will of course try to implement new anti molding techniques when the house will be refurbished next February.
We loved Corniglia and Paola was a responsive and helpful host who provided us with a lot of useful information about the area before we arrived. I really wanted to like this apartment because Paola seemed liked such a nice person (even though we never actually got to meet her) but unfortunately found it lacking, a bit. It did not feel warm, welcoming or "homey". My complaints-the layout is awkward-the kitchen table is on top of the bathroom and the terrace is not inviting or really usable. The furnishings and lighting are very minimal. There is virtually no lighting in the bedroom-one broken bedside lamp and one "mood light". No coffee tables, end tables, etc. We found ourselves just putting most of our stuff on the floor. The place just needs more finishing touches-rugs, remove the junk, light fixtures, new sheets, etc. It felt barren. It also smelled very very must and there was evidence of the rampant humidity-mold growing in the bathroom, etc. I understand that it is difficult to keep old stone buildings by the water fresh and I can be a bit sensitive to smells but the smell of the place was really off-putting to me.Bottom line, I wanted to spend as little time here as possible Lastly, we had a 8:20 train to catch so we walked to Cafe Matteo at 7:00 a.m. to give Paola's friend the key and let him know we were leaving. We were still standing outside the cafe an hour later waiting for him to arrive. Finally at 8:00 we gave up, ran down and put the key back at the apartment and ran for the train.
I am sorry to read this, but also welcome and will surely take into consideration all the suggestions in order to further improve our house and meet the needs of our guests. This late in autumn it is possible to find the place a bit humid, especially if the weather is not good. Our wonderful terrace obviously is much more enjoyable during warm, sunny days... all of this we perfectly understand and in fact our rates for this time of the year are extremely low.
Having said this, we will again repaint the interior and get rid of all the humidity before the new season, as we do each and every year.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is airy with every room opening onto the private courtyard, and the roof terrace is a great place to have lunch or star gaze. It has every convenience and is also very close to town, train station, and trails. And Gabri and the folks at Caffe Matteo are so kind - we loved having breakfast here. We would love to stay here again.
Thank you Paola!
I live near the Cinque Terre region but was was born in the US and studied in Melbourne for a semester in the early 1990's. I love traveling and take pride in my property which has just been renovated! Whenever possible I deal with my guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. Otherwise my friend Gabriel who lives in Corniglia will help me out. By the way he knows more about the village than I do! :) The property is fully furnished and have all the amenities of home! I try to make it better very day thanks to the opinions and advice from my guests!
