Although I personally didn't get to meet Paola and Lorenzo, they were extremely helpful in giving me very well descriptive information about the apartment, the neighbourhood, trains and everything needed to know about my visit. I barely did much to plan for my visit as they already provided with the necessary details needed for a vacation there. And Gabriel is a great guy that welcomed us like superstars. He was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The room itself was cosy, beautiful and well equipped with the basic necessities. Will definitely recommend this listing to everyone looking for a stay around the area. Thank you once again.
The communication was very good and helpful. The property description was very accurate.
We had the most amazing stay in Corniglia. It was definitely the best location and place out of the 5 towns. Very authentic and relaxed. The apartment is as described. Comfy beds, fans provided, great space. Great communication. I would highly recommend and will stay next time I visit! Especially love the convenience of checking out at the time you need. Thanks again.
Great stay! Description was accurate and an extra bed was accommodated for our 5th guest. Wifi was flawless, and super close to train. Only thing is, the shuttle directions to the house are only an option with a certain train day pass, and kind of confusing. So ask to be provided with walking directions as well.. Only about 10 minute walk with beautiful views. There were adapters, hair drier, laundry detergent, and towels provided by host.
This apartment in Corniglia was an absolute gem. Very clean, spacious, and with an awesome backyard that gives you pretty amazing views of the Mediterranean sea. The two rooms were spacious and could easily fit 3-4 people. There was a very handy folder in the room that explained all the amenities and also gave helpful tips about where to eat, the best beaches etc. It also gave instructions with regards to what to do when leaving the place. I never had the chance to meet Paola herself, but she was very interactive, helpful and welcoming via our online interactions. Corniglia is the only town out of the 5 that is located on a cliff away from the sea so be prepared to walk down to the train stop (either via the stairs, or the road) . The stairs were very close to the apartment so for us it was easy to get to the train station. The town of Corniglia itself is very beautiful and not as saturated with tourists as Monterosso for example. We had a great time here. But if you are looking to stay by the beach, then perhaps look at some of the other towns in the region. I would recommend this apartment to friends and family and would definitely stay here if I ever get a chance to revisit! Thanks Paola!
your friend gabriel was fantastic.
he was very helpful and easy to contact
Great little home. I think it was refurbished quite recently since we found the walls white and spotless, and some new cutlery/tools in the kitchen!
My husband and I fit comfortably with our toddler. Corniglia, the smallest of the towns, is a wonderful starting point for all of the hikes (you always head out down when the seaside paths are open). The people are wonderful, the few restaurants are quaint, and the views are spectacular. We were there in the winter, so didn't get to take advantage of the apartment's wonderful terrace, but loved being the only tourists in the whole town!
About the Host, Paola
I live near the Cinque Terre region but was was born in the US and studied in Melbourne for a semester in the early 1990's. I love traveling and take pride in my property which has just been renovated! Whenever possible I deal with my guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. Otherwise my friend Gabriel who lives in Corniglia will help me out. By the way he knows more about the village than I do! :) The property is fully furnished and have all the amenities of home! I try to make it better very day thanks to the opinions and advice from my guests!
