We are also just 3 minutes to Eyre Square and the chopping centre there, which is full of shops and restaurants. The city is also packed with loads of tourist attractions, including the Spanish Arch, originally a 16th century bastion, which was added to Galway's town walls to protect merchant ships from looting, or Kirwans Lane, one the finest medieval lane ways in Galway, and is home to many bohemian styles cafes, restaurants, bars and craft-shops.
As well as exploring the city you can also enjoy the beautiful beaches and scenic drives that Galway has to offer. The Aran Islands are located about 30 miles from the mouth of Galway Bay, and are home to many wild birds and 430 different varieties of wild flowers and plants, and are worth a visit too!
Brilliant stay and an amazing brekkie!! Thanks guys!
Kenneth and Kevin keep a beautiful home with exceptional attention to detail. From the decor to the water on the bedside table to an incredible photo-worthy breakfast spread, everything was taken care of. We were late to arrive and had some trouble getting a message out but Kevin rushed home from work to meet us which was so nice. The location is also perfect to everything in Galway and parking is off street.
It was 4 wonderful days - we were close to everything but away from the noise of the busy streets. Very good bed and breakfast with just everything.
We felt, we had made a very good choise staying with Kenneth. Always kind and helpfull
And Galway is the nicest city
Kenneth and Kevin's house is an eyecatcher. They put so much passion into decorating the house, you can really feel it. The bed is cosy, breakfast is second to none. We didn't see much of the hosts (and we only met Kevin), because they had to work, but Kevin was very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you, we would come back anytime again!
Kenneth and Kevin are great hosts! They gave great recommendations on our short trip to Galway and the location of their house is really convenient for exploring the main strip of town. I would recommend to my friends!
Fabulous hosts, very warm and welcoming despite our awkward arrival time. Breakfast was spectacular. Location could not have been better - so close to the city and yet quiet and comfortable. Would definitely return.
Kenneth and Kevin were absolutely great hosts. Their apartment is located just a short easy walk from the heart of the city, yet provides a quiet cozy place to rest after experiencing the great bar and live music scene of Galway. The breakfast that they serve in the morning is 1000x better than any breakfast I've had in a hotel. Although the stay was short, they were warm and easy going, and I would stay with them again anytime.
Very uncomplicated, friendly and tidy. Just a few minutes walk to the center but nevertheless a very quiet and nice environment
We just couldn't say enough good things about our stay here. The location is perfect, a 2 minute walk from the bus station and a 5 minute walk from the centre of town. And the house itself is lovely, just as beautiful as the pictures make it out to be. Our room was not only clean and lovely, but also equipped with lots of helpful details (guidebooks, a sheet on the wi-fi, bottled water, hairdryer) which made our stay just that much easier. Then of course there's the breakfast. The spread was stellar with something for everyone (pastries, breads, cereals, cheese, muffins, yogurt, teas, the list goes on). The only place to stay when in Galway!
Kevin and Kenneth were very welcoming hosts. They even did some laundry for me as I was down to my last set of clothes after getting blasted by rain the day before on Inis Mor. Their place has the unique gift of being in a quiet neighbourhood yet right next to downtown (2 blocks off Eyre Square), so location is perfect. They gave great tips on restaurants and other things. The rooms were clean. Lastly, the breakfast they laid out each morning was incredible.
