My brother Mike Anstett & I stayed at your place in 2011 Your place is everything you state and more. We highly, highly recommend your beautiful home to anybody traveling to the region. We spent 3 wonderful nights & hope someday to return. You are the perfect host. Mulazzo was an absolutely gorgeous village to come home to after going to the Cinque Terre region.
Mary Johnsen USA - June 2011

The Tower is beautifully decorated with a serene and relaxing atmosphere. It is well situated in historic Mulazzo. You are within easy reach of Pisa and Florence and the outstanding Cinque Terre and Gulf of the Poets. The atmosphere in Mulazzo is very pleasant. The people are very happy there. It is calm and restful at night. The Tower is recommended for a romantic break or as the centre for a family holiday.

  • While searching for accommodations in the Cinque Terre areas, we happened upon Torre Fiorita in Mulazzo and were immediately fascinated. Communicating with Chantal more than ever convinced us it was the place to stay, Chantal did advise us that it might be difficult staying In Mulazzo without a car, it is located 7 km from the train station at Pontremoli, but we took this as a challenge and saw it as an adventure. We were not disappointed, indeed in many ways this was one of the highlights of our three week vacation to Switzerland/Italy! The Torre was exquisitely decorated, light, airy, romantic, and after visiting a number of large cities, quiet and peaceful. Eating breakfast on the balcony in those lovely surroundings was breathtaking.
We did visit the Cinque Terre during our stay in Mulazzo and were so glad in retrospect that we stayed at the Torre Fiorita rather than a place on the Cinque Terre.

  • Wow! What an incredibly special place tucked away in the beautiful northern village of Mulazzo. Our jaws dropped as we drove up the hill to the village. Parking at All'Isola Felice was easy and the staff there could not have been kinder (not to mention their DELICIOUS pizza). We took advantage of the proximity to Cinque Terre and spent two days along the circuit. On the following day we visited some smaller northern towns and took a tour of the winery, Il Torchio (Claudio was a fantastic host. He gave us tastes of their delicious wine and their grappa as well).

We were excited to read about the history of Mulazzo and to hear that Dante was a guest in the very tower we were staying in. The town itself is very special - we awoke to church bells every morning and from the terrace of the tower got incredible views of the countryside. When you visit Mulazzo - don't forget to stop by the pub up the hill from the tower. They have tasty German beer and FANTASTIC company. We spent the evening dancing and singing karaoke with the folks of Mulazzo. All together, this trip was incredible. Thank you SO much Chantal for all your recommendations of things to do/see - and for sharing your special home with us. It was an unforgettable trip!

    Response from Torre:

Hi Jessica! It was so lovely to have you and your family stay at the tower. You are the perfect guest and the people of Mulazzo are still saying what a lovely family you all were! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and that you were able to experience all the things that you set out to do! You are very welcome to come back any time! Vey best tp you all Chantal

  • A fantastic stay, even although we made a mistake and booked for one day less than we meant to. We were accommodated regardless and indeed no one even mentioned it to us, despite the inevitable inconvenience it must have caused. The setting and in particular the eagle's eye view from the top balcony was tremendous. Peaceful and quiet, but life at the local Pizzeria if you wanted it, and they couldn't do enough for us. Very good people indeed. Very fond memories of the tower and the village and would thoroughly recommend to anyone to go there.

    Response from Torre:

Hi Malcolm. Thank you for your review! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the tower and I do agree that the view from the top terrace is quite something. It was so nice to have you and your family stay at the tower and I'm glad that it was possible to accomodate you for the extra night. The people of Mulazzo are indeed a very helpful and friendly bunch, in particular Floriana and Maurizio of the Pizzeria (they send their very best regards as does Natalino) You and your family are welcome to come back any time!

  • This is a place to make memories! It offers a wonderful opportunity to experience life in a small Italian village and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Be prepared to leave your car 200 meters or so away and enjoy the little walk up the cobblestone path that takes you into another time and space.

We became regulars at the friendly local pizzeria (by the car park)where the food is terrific and inexpensive and the WIFI free. Even when the pizzeria was closed we could use the WIFI by sitting outside. A second restaurant had a SKY tv connection so we were even able to watch the Champions League final with some local supporters.

The village is steeped in history and the Tower itself plays a big part in this as Chantal mentions in her description of the place. We had planned to use Mulazzo as a base to explore the region, but were so enchanted with the village that we barely ventured afield.

The Tower itself is very comfortable, fully fitted up for cooking and relaxing, with lots and lots of room to find quiet nooks and curl up with one of the many great books in the library. And the Jacuzzi bath was a great gift especially since the weather was cold while we were there so relaxing in warm bubbles was almost as good as basking in sunshine might have been..

I almost forgot to mention the views, which really are breathtaking, from the snow peaks of the mountains to the lush green of the hills and valley.

A highly recommended spot for a very memorable holiday.

  • Thank you for the enchanting experience I had the last two weeks in your tower. It had everything and was a place of rest and a nurturing environment. The grapes bursting with juice, the smell of them as they ripened in the sun, the church bells that ring the hour, the birds in the morning and the lovely sound of Italian being spoken which is musical to my ear. The beauty of the stone, the terracotta floors, and the Italian plaster finish of the walls. And the jacuzzi, and the fresh pesto from the village store and the cheese.
But, the very best of all were the people including you even tho we only communicated electronically. You were always there for me and I felt so secure in that. I especially appreciated your extra efforts to secure wifi for me.

  • So lovely and authentic. Sparkling clean, comfortable and thrilling to be in this unique home and hamlet. Every detail has been set up with great care and excellence. I arrived to a whole arbor of ripe concord grapes and cut some to have with every meal. The people of the town are so friendly and accommodating. I loved the mile walk to town, all downhill and through the countryside. Make sure to have a drink at the bar 30 steps up from the tower in the piazza, great atmosphere and music. Hidden gems of restaurants in Pontremoli and easy access to the Cinque Terre. The local grocery has fresh pasta and the BEST pesto, cheese, pancetta, local wine and everything you need. LOVE this place and hope to return soon.

  • We stayed in the tower for 3 days in September and it was one of the highlights of our trip! My husband and I were on our honeymoon traveling through Italy and this place was just perfect. Peaceful, charming, clean, and very well equipped with most everything you could possibly need in a vacation rental, including things like movies, power adapters, Italian phrase books, info on the area, and a great kitchen. Mulazzo village is cute and we ate at some nice restaurants in the neighboring towns. We went for some great nature hikes (watch out for snakes - we saw TWO!) and enjoyed sitting at the very top of the village at sunset with our wine. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to explore a very unique region of Italy (Lunigiana) especially if you're looking for someplace relaxed to completely disconnect with beautiful nature all around. We would love to visit again, thanks so much Chantal!

  • We had a wonderful stay in the Medieval tower. Nothing else in Italy came even close to it in terms of comfort and experiencing Italy as it should be. Chantal, via email and phone, was gracious, friendly, extremely helpful, thoughtful and most importantly concerned that we enjoy out experience, and were taken care of which we certainly were. We were greeted by Franca, a sweet elderly neighbor lady who spoke no English but did her absolute best to make sure would be comfortable. She was very helpful and our experience with her was part of the fun. It was Italy on a local level as it should be. No crowds or tourists but most importantly wonderfully friendly, welcoming and helpful people. Without a doubt the best part of our 8 days in italy. I highly recommend a stay here to see the "real" Italy. We hope someday soon to be back!
