great flat on the artistic private passeig where artist 'miro' was born. The 18th century french windows and balcony could be the high point for most people though the rest of the house is artistic and unique. We are sure you will love our home :)
Situated on a rare private street In the heart of 'el gotico' where the artist 'Miro' was born, this rare 19th century apartment is full of individual pieces and it is the perfect place to spend your vacation in Barcelona. The balcony is charming and a great place to enjoy morning breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. There are 2 large double bedrooms a spacious kitchen; there is also bathroom and a lovely living/balcony area.
This 75m2 space is perfect for up to 6 people. There is a optional extra bed for up to 6 people that can be set up in the master bedroom or the living area. The early 19th century windows spanning the length of the entire flat are also very unique.
There is a free fast Internet access within the flat and the flat is in the middle of the city whilst being on a private street making it not so loud compared to the rest of this lively city, there are also 2 fans for the summer and 2 portable heaters for the winter :)
The gotic area is one of the oldest areas in Barcelona, the architecture is stunning and the restaurants and bars are of top quality, you can even walk to the beach in 10 mins. There are 2 local metro stations within 5 mins walk from the flat and to grab a taxi would take a matter of seconds making it easy to travel around. If you have any further questions we would be happy to help and also please ask us to send over our list of local tips for restaurants and bars etc.. it has been made with our years of knowledge of living in Barcelona for the last decade.
Thanks for reading and we are sure you will love our beautiful home.
Just enjoy yourself and respect the neighbors who live there full time :)
Lovely old flat in the middle of Barcelona. Richie was very helpful throughout trip.
Will stay here again.
Gorgeous apartment in a fantastic, convenient location. Croissants and tea for breakfast on the balcony was a highlight (there's a bakery just round the corner from the flat). Ancient, gigantic doors, high ceilings, large windows, beautiful architecture of buildings opposite the apartment - we wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is located off the main street, so it's pretty quiet (it gets a tiny bit lively in the mornings - mainly people jetting off to work).
Met Ritchie very briefly, but he was a great host, very friendly and welcoming. Gave us all the information we needed and very responsive to our messages. Barcelona is a beautiful city, but we would love to come back just to hang out in the apartment!
Schöne, sehr große Wohnung. Toll gelegen.
Etwas laut, weil es sehr hallt.
Ritchy war sehr nett und flexibel.
Kommunikation war sehr unproblematisch.
What a wonderfull place it was! We had a very good time in Barcelona. And the appartment in the beautifull neigbourhood Gotico helped a lot with the pleasant experience. I stayed there with my girlfriend and we had a great time. Walking a long the streets, eating good food and just enjoy! Richie was a great host! He helped us a lot when we asked if we could stay a little longer because our flight was late in the evening. Defenitly coming back here!
Richie met us at the flat and made us feel right at home. The area was perfect, very old part of town with amazing buildings surrounding the flat. The flat itself was very quirky which I like and had bags of character. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend it other travelers. Thanks Richie.
Nos sentimos muy bien atendidos. Richie nos ayudo con luagres donde comer. El apartamento muy lindo. Lo unico,es que es muy frio. Y con un bebe se complica mas.
Gracias por todo,
We stayed in Richie & Ananda's apartment in January this year. It was a blessing to have the space of a home after spending a number of nights in very small motel rooms. The space is decorated in a warm bohemian style. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent, it is positioned very close to a number of major sights, in the Barrio Gotico. We even walked from there to the Sagrada Familia; a bit further, but the best way to see a city.
Richie was friendly and welcoming when he met us and we felt at home right away. Especially after the lovely bottle of champas he left for us. The mercado was a short walk from there. Great for cooking a little of our own tapas on our rest day. I am reluctant to write negatives but feel it wouldn't be fair to future guests. They were small niggles to us but may mean more to others. The apartment is in a gorgeous gothic lane. Unfortunately, deliveries are made very early with trolleys that rattle down the lane. Also, street lights are right outside all the windows - all night. Maybe some blackout blinds in the bedrooms would be a good idea. And the hot water was tepid at best- not a problem in summer but in winter it was a little cool. In saying that, we would stay there again in a heart beat for all the other great advantages. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.
