About This Listing
great flat on the artistic private passeig where artist 'miro' was born. The 18th century french windows and balcony could be the high point for most people though the rest of the house is artistic and unique. We are sure you will love our home :)
Situated on a rare private street In the heart of 'el gotico' where the artist 'Miro' was born, this rare 19th century apartment is full of individual pieces and it is the perfect place to spend your vacation in Barcelona. The balcony is charming and a great place to enjoy morning breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. There are 2 large double bedrooms a spacious kitchen; there is also bathroom and a lovely living/balcony area.
This 75m2 space is perfect for up to 6 people. There is a optional extra bed for up to 6 people that can be set up in the master bedroom or the living area. The early 19th century windows spanning the length of the entire flat are also very unique.
There is a free fast Internet access within the flat and the flat is in the middle of the city whilst being on a private street making it not so loud compared to the rest of this lively city, there are also 2 fans for the summer and 2 portable heaters for the winter :)
The gotic area is one of the oldest areas in Barcelona, the architecture is stunning and the restaurants and bars are of top quality, you can even walk to the beach in 10 mins. There are 2 local metro stations within 5 mins walk from the flat and to grab a taxi would take a matter of seconds making it easy to travel around. If you have any further questions we would be happy to help and also please ask us to send over our list of local tips for restaurants and bars etc.. it has been made with our years of knowledge of living in Barcelona for the last decade.
Thanks for reading and we are sure you will love our beautiful home.
Just enjoy yourself and respect the neighbors who live there full time :)
A perfect location right in the heart of the old town.
Richie and Ananda were so helpful and welcoming with our stay but one day was just not enough.
We hope to come back sometime soon!
Thanks so much
Tom and Nicola
The location is perfect and the place charming. We had a great stay. But the place is rather old (esp. bathroom and kitchen - hot water not really reliable) and noisy. The hosts were friendly but not very helpful (our flight was late in the afternoon and we had no help to find a solution for leaving there somewhere).
The place was beautiful and the location was perfect. The Gothic District is mesmerizing. The doors along the entire front facade of the apartment open to the unbelievably picturesque Passeig Del Credit, an alleyway/courtyard harboring a restaurant, tattoo parlor and a coffee shop that sells hand-made exotic instruments and thick slices of homemade pie. On the floor above the flat, the building bridges the alleyway. The underside is clad in a beautiful coffered ceiling that extends directly above the bedroom balcony doors- a beautiful view.
The flat was spacious and clean. We arrived a bit early and a very nice cleaner was preparing the apartment. She gave us the keys and the internet password. We dropped off our bags and hit the streets. The entire process was smooth and easy.
Overall, I can't imagine a better experience. If I had the money and Richie and Ananda were willing, I'd buy this place in a heartbeat. One quick tip: wear sunscreen on the beach- the Mediterranean breeze can be deceiving.
It was nice to spent two nice nights in this flat. Localisation is perfect. We can reccomend it! -)
The apartment was very spacious, clean and with real charm.
The location (so close to Las Ramblas and the metro) was superb, although its proximity to the action meant it was a little noisy.
A washing machine would have been useful.
We had little contact with our hosts (although Richie was most helpful when we called) but this could well have been our fault because our e-mail communication was poor after our computer gave up the ghost.
The host was very helpful with arrival directions, restaurant suggestions, and was prompt on arrival agreements. However this apartment was the noisiest place we stayed in three weeks in Europe. The other apartments in this enclosed street are very close and people party and yell all night long. It's good we brought our own toilet paper because there was none in the whole apartment
G'day Richie and Ananda, Thanks for the use of your apartment whilst in Barcelona. We enjoyed our stay there, and whilst the apartment wasnt as modern as we thought, it was comfortable and well presented. It was very clean, and very well located. Though my communications was a little slack (as explained) yours was very good and we had little trouble finding the address. We were a little concerned that there may be noise from the cafes etc in the area, but it was very quiet. We would consider your apartment again if we return to Barcelona, which is likely.
