The Space

Charming room with private entrance in San Francisco's trendiest neighborhood--Noe Valley. This artists house is filled with original paintings, stained glass, color and light. Built in 1906, the Victorian home retains all its old qualities, but has been renovated to provide spaciousness and light. The bay windows and abundant skylights provide beautiful bay views and warm sunshine.

NOTE: There are two listing at this same location. The other listing is called Charming Victorian II and can be booked separately.

There is a newly remodeled jacuzzi bathtub, two outdoor decks with views and a lush and flower-filed garden with comfortable lounge chairs for you to relax in and admire the San Francisco skyline. A state of-the-art kitchen is available for you to use if you prefer to cook in, however 3 blocks away, are some of the best Zagat rated restaurants in the country.

The bedroom is private with a separate entrance on the garden/basement level. The queen size bed is a brand new McCroskey handmade mattress rated one of the top 5 mattresses. The bathroom is shared when there are other guests and is located up 12 steps. The steps are narrow. If you have any physical limitations it is recommended that you reserve the other room available at this same location.

If you choose to stay home for the evening, Netflix movies, a library of DVDs and free internet wi-fi are available. My home is LGBTQ friendly.

Located just 3 blocks from Noe Valleys shopping district--24th Street has some of the City's best restaurants, incredible coffee shops and unique clothing and independent shops. On Saturdays there is a charming farmers market where you can find fresh organic produce. cheeses, breads, honey and other gourmet foods. Local musicians provide entertainment.

Public transportation is safe and easily accessible just 1/2 block away. Buses run all night and you can get to almost anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes. Located right in the middle of San Francisco, we are a 15 minute walk to the Mission and Castro neighborhoods. Street parking is also very easy, which is a rarity for San Francisco.

Need a ride from the airport? A good friend of mine does personal transport for $35, much less cost than a taxi. If you're interested I can provide you her contact once you book.

Self serve coffee and teas are available. Artisan breads and homemade baked goods are available down the block at our local Noe Valley Bakery. Enjoy it in the quiet and lush gardens and patios before heading out for a day of sightseeing.

As your gracious host, I am committed to helping to make your stay one that is unique and enjoyable. I can provide you with a list of the best places to eat and hang out in San Francisco, things you won't find in the tourist books. I became a host because I truly love meeting people from around the world, building community and sharing the San Francisco I deeply love.

My home is filled with charm and warmth, in San Francisco's most desired neighborhood. I am honored that you have chosen to stay with me and I promise you, you will not forget your experience. Looking forward to hosting you!

Guest Access

You have access to a landscaped sunny backyard and decks with views, the living room and tv, jacuzzi tub, and of course the cat Squishy LOL.

Interaction with Guests

I love meeting guests and sharing stories...providing you insider information on all the wonderful things San Francisco has to offer...but I also respect your privacy.

The Neighborhood

Charming and safe neighborhood central to anywhere in the city. Twenty minute bus ride to all tourist sites and the buses run all night to this neighborhood. 24th Street is the neighborhoods main street with lots of great 4 star restaurants, cafes, clothing boutiques, a Whole Foods organic grocery and artisan shops. The neighborhood is very colorful, filled with classic painted victorians and a diverse population. Noe Valley is one of San Francisco's most popular neighborhoods bordering the Castro and the Mission. Great walks, parks, views, (email hidden)n't find a better neighborhood.

Getting around

Transportation is safe and convenient with major bus lines that run all evening. Bus is 1/2 block away and distance is approximately 20 minutes to any site around the city. Bus #24, #48, J Church and #35 are all nearby.

  • Our stay at Judith' and Daria's house was great. A sunny and comfortable atmosphere far away from home. We would always come here again. Julia & Simone

  • Staying in Judith and Daria's home was the perfect San Francisco experience! We were in town for a wedding and I spent the whole weekend telling everyone about our great experience--and they were all certainly jealous.

We did not get a chance to meet Judith, but she was very helpful in our contact with her and Daria was a fantastic and enthusiastic host. We felt very at home in our short stay.

The house was also a wonderful slice of San Francisco life and travel was easy to the location. It was also nice to have the separate downstairs entrance since we had to come in late from the wedding activities.

I would highly recommend Judith and Daria's home to anyone looking for welcoming and relaxing lodging, as well as a chance to stay in a quintessential San Franciscan neighborhood and home.

  • Judith & Daria were really welcoming & helped us to enjoy our stay in SF. Their home is beautiful and the bedroom was comfortable & private with a really decent bed. The garden is also a lovely place to be and Squishy, a gorgeous friendly cat to have s gentle sit with. Highly recommended for a stay in this beautiful, safe neighbourhood.

  • Who could want for more? Judith has a beautiful home and her welcome matches it. She is just lovely. Phil and I only had 2 nights in San Francisco and in terms of location it is perfect and I had always wanted to see inside one of these magnificent houses that is synonymous with the area. As a bonus Judith makes home made bread for breakfast! I highly recommend Judith as a host and her home as a venue.

  • Judith and Daria's beautiful home made for a fabulous beginning to our first week in San Francisco.
We stayed in the bottom bedroom which had its own private entrance. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and bright with plenty of space :-) the shared bathroom was constantly clean and the shower was excellent!!
Noe Valley was a great location with some lovely places to eat, interesting shops and it's easy to get around. We felt very much at home in the area :-)
Thank you both for your kindness, warmth and conversation. We loved spending time with you and Squishy. I sincerely hope our paths cross again.

  • Out of 3 Airbnb stays on our total trip, Judith's Charming Victorian was the best. The listing was exactly what the description outlined and Judith was a warm and gracious host. Would recommend this place as a great night's (or couple of night's if Judith has anything to do with it) stay. To top things off a great breakfast is including!

  • Judith and Daria are wonderful hosts, it was a pleasure to stay at their place. Connections to the city with bus and tram are excellent. Also no problem to find a parking lot and a few nice restaurants and shops are within walking distance, so really worth to consider staying here.

While I'm originally from NYC, I have lived in San Francisco for over 35 years. I know this City intimately and would love to share its secrets and quirkiness with you. I work full time in public healthcare for people who are poor and homeless. I've been extremely lucky to have worked most of my career in jobs that are meaningful and dedicated to helping the underserved. I've also had a diversity of jobs...from the first woman to help re-build San Francisco's cable cars, to working with Mayors..i can share lots of insider stories. However, my true love is painting. The house is filled with my paintings and reflects how much I love color. And music, my partner is a musician ...feel free to play the piano in our living room. I am blessed to have raised two amazing children now in their 20's and have just been overjoyed by the arrival of my grandson--all the greatest gifts I have ever been graced with. I'm a fellow world wide traveler and have used airbnb on my own travels so I am sensitive to that delicate balance between giving you your privacy and providing a warm host experience. I love great food (and can share with you all the best and unknown places to eat), cooking, yoga, art, historical novels, friendship, movies and good conversation. I love hosting on AirBnB and have met incredible people from all over the world. I"m committed to making your stay in San Francisco memorable so please let me know how I can help you while you are here.
