Classic 1906 Victorian home in one of San Francisco's trendiest and central neighborhood, Noe Valley. This artists house is filled with original paintings, stained glass, color and light.

The Space

Charming room with private entrance in San Francisco's trendiest neighborhood--Noe Valley. This artists house is filled with original paintings, stained glass, color and light. Built in 1906, the Victorian home retains all its old qualities, but has been renovated to provide spaciousness and light. The bay windows and abundant skylights provide beautiful bay views and warm sunshine.

There is a newly remodeled jacuzzi bathtub, two outdoor decks with views and a lush and flower-filed garden with comfortable lounge chairs for you to relax in and admire the San Francisco skyline. A state of-the-art kitchen is available for you to use if you prefer to cook in, however 3 blocks are way, are some of the best Zagat rated restaurants in the country.

The bedroom is private with a separate entrance on the garden/basement level. The queen size bed is a brand new McCroskey handmade mattress rated one of the top 5 mattresses. The bathroom is shared when there are other guests and is located up 12 steps. The steps are narrow. If you have any physical limitations it is recommended that you reserve the other room available at this same location.

If you choose to stay home for the evening, Netflix movies, a library of DVDs and free internet wi-fi are available. Children are welcome and my home is LGBTQ friendly.

Located just 3 blocks from Noe Valleys shopping district--24th Street has some of the City's best restaurants, incredible coffee shops and unique clothing and independent shops. On Saturdays there is a charming farmers market where you can find fresh organic produce. cheeses, breads, honey and other gourmet foods. Local musicians provide entertainment.

Public transportation is safe and easily accessible just 1/2 block away. Buses run all night and you can get to almost anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes. Located right in the middle of San Francisco, we are a 15 minute walk to the Mission and Castro neighborhoods. Street parking is also very easy, which is a rarity for San Francisco.

Need a ride from the airport? A good friend of mine does personal transport for $35, much less cost than a taxi. If you're interested I can arrange this for you.

Each morning I provide homemade pastries, local breads, fruit, juice and San Francisco artisanal coffee and teas. Enjoy it in the quiet and lush gardens and patios before heading out for a day of sightseeing.

As your gracious host, I am committed to helping to make your stay one that is unique and enjoyable. I can provide you with a list of the best places to eat and hang out in San Francisco, things you won't find in the tourist books. I became a host because I truly love meeting people from around the world, building community and sharing the San Francisco I deeply love.

My home is filled with charm and warmth, in San Francisco's most desired neighborhood. I am honored that you have chosen to stay with me and I promise you, you will not forget your experience. Looking forward to hosting you!

  • Judith's gorgeous yellow Victorian in San Fran was my first airbnb experience and the first stop on an incredible road trip down the PCH. We got in late Saturday night but Judith was still there to greet us and happy to direct us on where to head out in town. She was very helpful throughout our stay and made good suggestions about areas in town. We stayed in the basement room and found it very cozy and comfortable and loved having our own private entrance. The house was clean, public transport was nearby, breakfast was convenient, garden / deck was spectacular and Squishy the cat was a sweetheart. Judith was a great host and made us feel very welcome!

  • Pictures don't do justice to Judith and Daria's lovely house. It was arty and inviting and we felt very much at home. The bed was comfortable and well made up.

Due to our own naivety we ran afoul of SF parking regulations on our 3rd day, but Daria was nice enough to lift us to the Towing company, and perk up our spirits along the way.

  • Judith was a lovely and thoughtful host. It was clear she was passionate about sharing her city with guests.

  • Lovely house, great neighborhood, and above all Judith is such a generous and welcoming host. Keen to come back whenever possible.

  • San Francisco is a city of neighborhoods and the Noe Valley has much to offer. We are urbanists and love experiencing new places from a resident's perspective. Judith's house was the perfect home base for us. Her house, her kitchen and her welcoming personality are all very much as advertised.

The basement room where we stayed is a particularly excellent deal for the area. Access is via a semi-finished laundry area but the room itself is nicely finished and private.

Transit access is particularly good at this location, with the 24 and 48 buses, the J muni line and the 26th and Mission BART station all accessible for quick access to other areas.

Roberta took a guided walking tour of the Twin Peaks and other nearby parks which she highly enjoyed, and the Castro is just over the hill. And when you're tired of playing mountain goat, there's always the bus!

  • I had the ground floor room, which was comfortable, and quiet at night. The bathroom was upstairs and shared with the other rented room up there, and that worked out fine. I didn't interact much with my hosts but they were friendly during our brief interactions. The neighborhood is nice, residential, on a hill; it was easier to find street parking at night there than in some other San Francisco neighborhoods.

  • I'm so glad we can meet you in SF! It is a beautiful city and you are the best host in this city! We will definitely come back to your place again if we have a chance to go back SF in the future!

  • I had a really great experience at this beautiful yellow house. I had my own room and entrance, the people who live there were very friendly and gracious hosts, and they even put out fruit in the mornings. The house has so much sparkly character, and there are some great shops within walking distance.

  • Great location, convenient to public transit and all interesting parts of the city. Judith was a gracious hostess, place was exactly as described. Would definitely stay there again!

While I'm originally from NYC, I have lived in San Francisco for over 35 years. I know this City intimately and would love to share its secrets and quirkiness with you. I work full time in public healthcare for people who are poor and homeless. I've been extremely lucky to have worked most of my career in jobs that are meaningful and dedicated to helping the underserved. I've also had a diversity of jobs...from the first woman to help re-build San Francisco's cable cars, to working with Mayors..i can share lots of insider stories. However, my true love is painting. The house is filled with my paintings and reflects how much I love color. And music, my partner is a musician ...feel free to play the piano in our living room. I am blessed to have raised two amazing children now in their 20's and have just been overjoyed by the arrival of my grandson--all the greatest gifts I have ever been graced with. I'm a fellow world wide traveler and have used airbnb on my own travels so I am sensitive to that delicate balance between giving you your privacy and providing a warm host experience. I love great food (and can share with you all the best and unknown places to eat), cooking, yoga, art, historical novels, friendship, movies and good conversation. I love hosting on AirBnB and have met incredible people from all over the world. I"m committed to making your stay in San Francisco memorable so please let me know how I can help you while you are here.
