This a very nice, cozy and luminous flat in the heart of Barcelona´s Ciutat Vella, in the Raval district. It is in walking distance from Plaza Cataluña, Plaza Universidad and Sant Antoni market, which means that it has excellent connections with various metro, train and suburban rail lines, as well as buses and the aerobus (the bus that connects the air port with the city´s centre.). It is also 15 minutes walking distance from the port and less than half an hour walking distance from the actual beach.

The neighbourhood is hip, lively and multicultural, with plenty of restaurants, bars, galleries and smart shops, but it is not packed with tourists like other districts of the centre. There is almost no traffic as most of the streets that surround the flat are pedestrian ways. Important museums and cultural heritages such as MACBA, CCCB, Maritime Museum, Gaudi´s Palau Guell, Palau de la Vireina, La Boqueria and the gothic Hospital de Santa Creu are all located in the neighbourhood while other points of interest such as Picasso Museum, the Cathedral, the Church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Gothic Quarter, MNAC, Gaudi´s Casa Batlló and Ciutadella park are located within walking distance.

The flat is 55 square meters. It can accommodate up to 4 persons since there is a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa couch in the living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, a stove and an oven . A special thing about this particular flat are the relaxing views of the rooftops and the Tibidabo mountains from the windows.
The flat is decorated with love and has a bohemian, artistic aura without losing its welcoming, informal feeling. This a a place where anyone can feel at home while experiencing the pulse of the vibrant Barcelona´s centre. Now my little corner of the world can be yours as well. Let´s share it.

As a host, I will answer all your inquiries, even if we do not meet personally (I tend to travel a lot). I will give you directions, insider´s tips and assistance about the flat, the city and your visit. i have a big network of friends that can be proven useful as well. I have been living in Barcelona for 9 years so I know the city pretty much.

UPDATES: Great news! I had the windows of the flat changed. The new ones have double crystals which means that the flat is protected from external street noises and also from temperature changes. There is also a new and faster internet connection.

Important: The flat is on the 5th floor and there is no lift, something that is very common in buildings of European historical city centres. It has great views because of its heights, and a sense of airiness which is rare to find in an old crammed neighbourhood like El Raval. Most people do not have issues with this fact but it is good to know it if you have mobility problems or you are of a certain age.

  • Perfect location to explore fantastic Barcelona! Far enough from La Rambla to avoid the tourist crunch yet close enough for covering the walking tours of the city; see the useful (email hidden)
The flat and building are a bit funkier than one might expect from the pictures, but we would go back with no hesitation; thank you for sharing Evripidis.

  • We stayed at the cousy apartment of Evripidis for a week. Its location is excellent, in the non touristic part of the old city of Barcelona, very close to everywhere (we rarely needed to use the metro) in a neighborhood by one of the big food markets of the city but also very close to MACBA and to several cafés, restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is marvelous! It's on the top floor so it has great views to Tibitabo mountains over the old city rooftops and a lovely light all day long! Even if it's in an old building it's in a very good condition. The kitchen is fully renovated and very well equiped (we cooked some great dinners there with fresh fish and meat from the nearby market). The walls are full of Evripidis's great art works, posters from his conserts or post cards from his journeys. He's a multy talented guy with a very interesting life and living in this apartment for a week, made us feel as if we know him for years, even if we didn't have the pleasure to meet him! Even if he was giving a consert abroad he was always very helpful on anything we needed and he gave us great tips on very interesting cafés and bars to go to. Staying in this apartment, we didn't only have a great Barcelona experience but we also feel as having made a new friend.

  • Great location and very cute apartment! It is an old building however so with the charm come things like when you shower, make sure you flush the toilet and drain the water heater! Make sure you know what your getting yourself into, but if you are after atmosphere it's perfect! We had a great time and will definitely be back!

  • Evripidis is a great host! The apartment is perfectly situated and realy great. It has everything what you need. Contact with Evripidis was just excellent, he replied to all our questions in a short time. There was no problem for the late check-in which we had. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to meet Evripidis in person, but we met his fried Fran who showed us the whole flat.

To sum up we can definitely recommend this place for everyone who want to spend a great time in Barcelona.

blessthatdress, Evripidis and his Tragedies
My name is Evripidis. I come from Athens, Greece but I have been living in Barcelona for more than 8 years. I am a musician, illustrator, writer and dj. I enjoy music, literature, cinema, traveling, arts and a good party. I am a friendly, communicative person who loves knowing new people, new cultures and new ways of thinking. My mother has always pointed me out the importance of hospitality, thus my house has always been a space that is open for visitors, either close friends or friendly acquaintances. I love having guests and share points of view and good times.
