Room #2 has a queen size bed and a shared bath.
It is a cozy room in shades of blue, antique dresser and armoire, pedastal sink with mirror.

Charming and cozy 1884 Victorian Inn is located just 2 blocks from the historic Sonoma Plaza in down town Sonoma. There are 3 large bedrooms total.
The owner does not live on the premises.

There is a living room with fireplace, cable TV and Wireless Internet. No kitchen, but in dining area there is a microwave and a small refrigerator. Coffee and tea are provided. There is a restaurant next door and plenty of parking.

We are located in the middle of the wine country, near plenty of wineries and with 4 star restaurants just two blocks away in the plaza. The plaza (a National Historic Landmark) is surrounded by many historical buildings, including the Mission San Francisco Solano, and the Presidio of Sonoma. In the middle of the plaza, is Sonoma's city hall. The plaza is also the location of the Farmer's Market, held every Tuesday in the summer.

  • This place is super convenient to Sonoma Plaza. The communication before the stay was easy to follow and there weren't any issues. I recommend a stay here if you're looking for a place near everything and have no issues with a shared bathroom.

  • Such a charming house and the perfect location, right off the square. We loved our experience and would stay again. Thank you, Marilyn!

  • Very smooth, professional. Felt welcome and comfortable.

  • We stayed one night in this sweet, cozy Bed and Breakfast. The room had its own sink, a comfy bed, and lovely morning sun to wake up to.

The rest of the house was welcoming, stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, wine, half and half, oatmeal, water, candy and cake. In the morning there was fresh cut fruit and pastries. We enjoyed hanging out in the living room and dining room and meeting the other guests. There were also books and games.

We never met Marilyn in person, but we spoke to her on the phone. She was kind and attentive. We appreciated that she welcomed our toddler and even offered us a larger room to accommodate. Check in and out was a breeze.

The location is great too. The street parking was easy, and we could walk out the door to Sonoma Plaza in a few minutes. I highly recommended this Bed and Breakfast for a peaceful retreat.

  • Our stay in room 2 was restful, and met our expectations perfectly. Marilyn made sure we had wine in the evening and coffee in the morning, along with a lovely selection of breakfast foods, fresh fruit, etc. We had no trouble with the shared bathroom set-up, particularly since there is a sink in the room. Comfy bed, charming home. In Sonoma it is hard to find a nice place to stay that is centrally located without spending a small fortune. Marilyn's place is an especially good deal. We will happily return and next time I hope we can meet you Marilyn!

  • Marilyn has very quaint and cozy B&B conveniently located in Sonoma. We were able to walk all over town easily. Check In was easy, however, i would have liked to have met Marilyn in person. We hope to stay at this B&B again the next time we visit Sonoma!

  • We had made a last minute reservation with Marilyn. She was absolutely wonderful! She was quick to respond to our questions, very accommodating, and kept in constant communication with us.

The house and the room have a vintage feel, but they were very charming and homey. The room was exactly as described. Marilyn had even left us a cake and some wine when we first arrived:) The bed and the linens were very comfortable- it was hard to get out of bed the next morning! The noise level was not an issue to us at all- in fact, I dont think we even noticed. I was a little bit hesitant about the shared bathroom, but for the price compared to everywhere else in Sonoma, it wasnt bad at all. We were out exploring Sonoma the entire weekend so we were barely ever there except to change and sleep. Breakfast the next morning was delightful- fresh fruit of strawberries, melons, and blueberries, croissants, pastries, OJ, coffee, cappuccino, etc.

We were very satisfied with our overall stay. We actually enjoyed it more than staying at a hotel and will definitely look into staying here again when we come back.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Marilyn's! Her house is clean, comfortable, and so close to the Square. Our room (Room 1) was spacious and bright! We had a nice breakfast--fresh strawberries, croissants, coffee, and orange juice. My husband loved the candy in the living room.

I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Sonoma. We unfortunately didn't get to meet Marilyn (we had an early fight to catch), but I'm already planning a trip back and would definitely stay here again.

  • The location was wonderful--easy walking distance to downtown Sonoma. The room was comfortable and clean, and I appreciated the water, bundt cake, hot chocolate, tea, coffee available in the living room. I very much enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back again.

About
My name is Marilyn . I am an elderly but "with it" lady with 4 grown children who live close by me. My interests have mostly to do with my rental "home" such as gardening and crocheting. In my relaxing times I enjoy reading. Tried to get interested in the compurter or internet but am not that "with it" A lot of the enjoying times are meeting all the guests that have stayed with me throughout the 20 years I have been taking care of the property. In the early days when my family and I first moved here, we owned the restaurant that is next door. We no longer own it but it is still a very good restaurant. Thats one of the great things to do in Sonoma, Try all the great restaurants. In the "Rose Garden Inn" you can walk to all the restaurants and not worry about the wonderful wine you drank and then driving home. Idon't live on the property but my son does, If I'm not able to be there to greet the guests then he is there. I enjoy the quietness of the house . You can't believe it is on the highway because there so little noise. I can sit on the porch and read and not be bothered by the traffic.
