The Lodge house offers adventurers a place to downshift between epic excursions. It is located at here at BaseCamp an inspiration camping facility offering day camps and overnight stays. Situated just 2 miles from beautiful Lake Murray yet between Arbuckle Lake and Lake Texoma the adventurer can pick a day trip or just opt to hang out and enjoy the art, mother nature or both! Star gazing, hammock hang outs, energy healing and bird watching is just a few things travelers love to do here!
The space
This space is situated on a private 8 acre inspiration camping facility. The guest are given the gift of silence and solitude here at BaseCamp. They also have the opportunity to roam around, take in the sights/sounds of nature & stargaze. In addition various sculptures of regional artist are placed around the camp to admire. The vintage little lodge itself has a collection of private western art representing the history of Oklahoma and the American Cowboy. During the renovations we used a yellow tone period cabinet laminate in the kitchen to keep the vintage feel yet mixed a bit of modern touches with furnishings sprinkled here and there. We love the feel of the old oak cabinets and period hardware and keep them well conditioned and clean! OH and by the way one really must try the outdoor shower. It is a great way to clean up from a day of area fun!
Guest access
Guest will have access to the entire lodge house located on the property. It is located directly in front of the live/work space (art gallery, healing art studio & working art studio spaces) where the host resides above. The gallery and studios are open by appointment for guests to enjoy. There is a grouping of shared patios and decks connecting the guest and host structures.
Other things to note
Since there is also an RV hookup on the property, it is possible that other guests also are booking here at BaseCamp at the same time. We want to clarify we area nature retreat so if you are seeking peace and solitude, this property is a great fit! If you looking to be LOUD, drink ALOT or be a little WILD this is NOT a good fit!
