Our house is eclectic but comfortable. We are out of town and off-grid so you can get a taste of what makes this remote and beautiful region unique. We have most modern amenities: electricity, phone and internet, running water (though only cold water; we heat our hot water on a stove), a flush toilet. We enjoy meeting our guests and hearing their stories. As we are 20 km from town you may need to prepare your meals here but you are welcome to share our kitchen.

We had a great stay at Marylou and Craig's! They are living an authentic off the grid lifestyle and we were so glad we got to experience it, even though it was brief. The house has an open floor plan, so it's airy and light. No door to the guest bedroom but that didn't bother us …

Off the grid living has its idiosyncrasies. Washing up will not include a shower without extra efforts by the hosts,so be prepared to clean up with a washcloth. No problem for a one night stay. Arrive in time to take a break, and then head off to Telegraph Creek. It's a 2 hour…

Marylou and Craig live in a wonderful and full house in the woods, outside Dease Lake. I stayed two nights in a small room with a good bed. Marylou wasn't home in the evenings, so I didn't see much of her. Craig on the other hand was a real causeur, sharing a lot of knowledge of…

The fire pit was burning and nice treats of a veggie plate. We where giving access to explore the property, and tour of the house. Morning was the best, fresh ground coffee and farm fresh eggs to order. Thank you soooooo much.

We had a great time with Craig and Marylou. They have taken excellent care of us during our 8 day stay. Their house is self-built and every item seems to have a special story behind it. All modern comforts are available, some a little primitive, which makes for example taking a s…
