Staff was very nice, always smiling, very welcoming and answering any questions about the city.
Everything was functional and as described on the website. Would definitely consider this option again on my next time to KL!
Suzie´s hostel has got a very good location in KL. Very central in the China Town and very close to the MRT-station Pasar Seni (only one station to KL Sentral) . The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The hostel is very safe and clean. The only thing they should add to the description of the rooms is if the room has a window or not. Because only 2 rooms have one as far as I could see.
My mum and I stayed for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The place was always clean and the staff were always there to help. The place was also very convenient as the train station was very close and Chinatown and other great places to go were just around the corner. Will definitely recommend!
Suzie's Guesthouse is truly a home away from home in Kuala Lumpur! The guesthouse is very clean and well run, and the friendly atmosphere of the common areas make Suzie's a great choice for your time in KL. The location is very convenient to public transportation, and there plenty of eating options in the area. Overall, highly recommended!
SGKL lives up to its name: a backpacker's mecca! Our stay at Suzie's was worth every single penny. I love how this place is so accessible to everything: night market, public transpo, convenience store, etc. The place is very clean & very homey! Highly recommended!
What a wonderful place! At first I was concerned that Saiful had offered me a pricey shuttle service from the airport and left the impression that the place is difficult to find. In fact it is quite the opposite. Take the express train from airport (for 35 RM = 10 Euro) switch to metro and go one stop for 1 Euro or take cab and tell them to go to the Indian Temple as the guesthouse is 10 meters away.
I then arrived and thought, oh no a run down Earl's Court-type dos-house where one has to fight to get a shower or use the restrooms at end of passage. The reality is as follows - you may never meet Saiful. I didnt. Seems he is just a businessman running this cool hostel.
The staff were absolutely fantastic - warm and kind and as efficient as the Ritz! - all of them right down to the full-time cleaning lady who cleans everything non-stop. There's a wonderful open lounge space and Wifi throughout and guests that I met were top class - really interesting decent etc and add a lovely atmosphere. It is truly a guesthouse feel more than a hostel one. My room was great and I honestly would go back as it was a true home from home. Across the road is a 7eleven supermarket open 24/7 which is really great too.
I loved Suzie's place! I met such a cool crowd of backpackers at this guesthouse. As soon as you enter the guesthouse you immediately feel at home. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I had a room without a window which scared me at the beginning but was actually perfectly fine. It was very quiet and peaceful in there. Maybe next time I would call the guesthouse to book a room and try to negotiate a better rate. But without airbnb and wouldn't have found the place in a first place. BTW: KL is a city full of treasures. Give yourself some time and suddenly you discover so many nice things. People are super friendly and always up for a chat.
