Tiny Home (one of two guest houses) on a private 13 acres in a small equestrian town. Away from the main house, so it is private, but not isolated. Ideal for 2 guests, but there is a pull-out sofa which could be comfortable for one more adult or a couple younger kids. (Some have mentioned it is not so comfy for grown-ups.)

The space
Our property is protected from the roadway by a massive hedge, which blocks all viewing of our property from the street.

When you come in the driveway, the Tiny Home is on the right. The pond with a flock of ducks is on one side, and a meadow on the other. The views are great on both sides.

We have a horse, a mini-horse, two mini-cows, and three mini-donkeys which come to the fence wanting treats (which are provided) from guests. Ducks roam freely and also come around wanting treats. Behind the main house are roosters and peacocks.

(The Tiny Home is two individual tiny homes connected by a 20' porch. The homes are very well-insulated, ensuring privacy for each unit.)

Lake Helen is awesome. It's called "The Gem of Florida" and it really is a gem. It's unlike most towns/cities around. Lake Helen has no red light, and horses have the right-of-way on the streets.

Hi! I'm a stay-at-home mom of 8. The oldest ones have moved on but I still have a few younger ones hanging around. I love hanging out with them. Mostly I drive them around while they live their best lives.

I enjoy time around my home and spend a lot of time caring for the yard and my mini-zoo. I've got horses, mini-donkeys, chickens, ducks, guineas, a pair of peacocks, and about a dozen of their children (hatched last breeding season.) They're like my happy place and I can spend unreasonable amounts of time hanging out with them, feeding them, and cleaning up after them.

When it's volleyball tournament season (Nov. thru June) I spend a lot of time taking and editing photos for the teams my youngest girls are a part of.

When I have time I also like to write, and have self-published a few books on Amazon.

Jan. 2018 I started doing Air BnB on a whim because we had this camper sitting on the property and thought I'd give it a go. It took off and right away someone was in it almost every day for 6 months! It was crazy and I loved it. I got to meet so many cool people from all over.

The city of Lake Helen informed me I was not permitted to use the camper for that anymore, so the camper is gone and now I have the two tiny homes and they are so...so nice! And the location where we put them is beautiful. My first guests stayed in mid-April 2020 and they've been mostly full ever since.

During your stay

I'm home most of the time in the daytime. In the morning, usually sleeping ;) Afternoons I'm home working around the house. Evenings is when I'm usually away, but never far. I'm always accessible if there is a need, and if I'm not around someone else can help. I like to come out and "say hi" and meet people, but often I never even see guests come or go.
