Nestled above the enchanted forest of Big Sur over looking the Pacific Ocean. This charming tree house rests high up in the forest offering grand views on the Pacific side and is at walk-in level on the front for easy entry. All new full kitchen, ceramic tile floors and cozy shag carpet, an extra large king size bed where the lovebirds feel as though they are floating in the treetops when napping or waking in the morning. At night one falls asleep gazing up at the stars.
Huge bay windows, white washed pine panel shaker style walls though nearly all glass with epic views, a lovely deck for reading, photography, or dining.
*Close to all the epic hikes and beaches only minutes, not miles away. Location is everything and you simply cannot beat this location or comfort. Our stay at the treehouse was incredible. The little house has everything you need to eat in, relax. Beautiful garden and surroundings. Very close to the best of Big Sur yet also very remote and isolated. The outdoor shower on the balcony is an amazing experience! The best part was waking up in the huge cozy bed, surround by windows, trees and ocean mist. Would definitely stay here again!
The Treehouse was exactly as described and all details were addressed. What a unique experience! Very clean and tidy. Private, quiet and yet convenient to the Highway and restaurants of Big Sur. I would recommend this without hesitation!
The treehouse was a welcome escape from busy city life. No wifi, outdoor toilet and shower, and very quiet. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and it was very relaxing. Watching the sun set over the ocean from the swing was incredible, and star gazing at night is top notch. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to make our own meals. Bring a good book (or 2) and some games along with some wine, and you'll love this place.
This was a wonderfully quiet, private experience. The king sized bed is really comfortable, the cabin is very cozy and warm and set up for all of your needs. The space is really in the heart of Big Sur which is difficult to find. Our host, Sue, was gracious and kind. I would stay here again! Relaxing and serene environment. The bathroom is outside underneath a giant redwood tree, including the shower. It was really quiet, beautiful and PRIVATE!
I'd recommend this place to anyone!
Sue (and Linda) are fantastic hosts and yes, this treehouse is incredible. My girlfriend and I couldn’t believe our eyes when we arrived. This is a professionally built and decorated accommodation. There are other “resorts” in Big Sur but I don’t think they can match the privacy or the comfort we found here. The treehouse is completely enclosed and the bathroom/shower is privately tucked next to the tree enormous tree trunk supporting the house. As many others have stated, the location is right in the middle of Big Sur with convenient access to every restaurant, trail, and attraction you’d like to visit. This is bliss.
Sue's treehouse is extremely cozy and in the perfect Big Sur location. We loved waking up in the trees and felt right at home for the weekend. As other reviewers have said, the shower and toilet are completely outdoors but it was fine for us as the weather was quite warm when we were visiting. Thanks Sue and Linda.
Staying in the treehouse was an amazing experience. Waking up surrounded by the forest and reading on the lounge swing while looking out at the ocean were highlights of our trip. It was a little cold when we went (even though it was August), so the outdoor shower posed some challenges, but really that just added to the experience. This is a very peaceful place to stay in Big Sur while also being central - right around the corner from Nepenthe and less than a mile from the Henry Miller Library. My girlfriend and I would definitely love to stay here again.
