The Space

Cozy and light 1 bedroom apartment in the charming atmosphere of the canals of Copenhagen. 7 min. walk to the metro and 4 minutes by metro to the city center and 15 minutes to airport. Best location in town, next to channels, marina, and good restaurants. Christianshavn is a unique and historical part of the city close to the Opera, shops, cafés, restaurants, Christiania and many other cultural attractions.
The apartment have two rooms, one bedroom with a king size bed and one big living room with huge dining table seats 10. Nice fully equipped kitchen with functional proportions. Older bathroom yet fully functional. The apartment have free wifi and TV.
There'(email hidden) courtyard with cozy patios, picnic tables, benches and a nice garden. Plenty of room to sunbathe on the grass and relax, and excellent opportunity to enjoy grilled food on the hot summer days.

To put it myself the apartment is perfect for the business trip, the couple or the friends who wants to experience Copenhagen with the charming atmosphere of the canals of Christianshavn close at hand.

Hope to welcome you kind regards, Sigurd

About the area:
Christianshavn is the most charming area of copenhagen if you ask me. Originally is was housing the workers of the harbours, and now this area has nice cafes and restaurant - side by side with the atmosphere and people of the old harbours.
The building was constructed in 1901 and served (as the rest of the area) as barracks housing the workers from the heavy industry plants at the harbours - founding the twentieth century Copenhagen era. Together with an intense atmosphere of the history a walk by the canals of Christiansharbour reveals an area that has become the bohemian area of Copenhagen attracting artists as well as business people looking for unique surroundings.
Christianshavn in 2012 has many cultural attractions including the Opera, shops, cafés, restaurants, Christiania etc.
Christiania is just around the corner. It is a world famous hippie community and one of the nice experiences of Danish culture you will find in Copenhagen. Really worth a visit for walks in nature during the day or a night out tourists normally doesn't experience. ;-)
The canals 50 meters from the apartment has all kinds of restaurants ranging from quality pizza over sushi to some of the most high end restaurants in Copenhagen including NOMA – winner of The S. Pellegrino World's Best Restaurants 2011.

  • Sigurd's appartment is very conveniently located in Christianshaven - it's just next to a church tower you can climb up on that has a spectactular view. The appartment is very close to Christiania so at times there are people around that partied way too much. With the bedroom being out towards a pleasant and green courtyard that was not an issue for sleeping at night. The appartment has a very nice layout. The bathroom is tiny and oldish but was ok. Sigurd was a very nice host. He let me borrow a bike and gave me the keys to the washing machine. All in all I had a great two week stay.

  • We had a great time at Sigurd´s place in Copenhagen. It has lots of light, a very comfortable and large living/dining room and is very quiet. It is also really well-located; just a few steps to the Metro and about 10 minutes walk to the center. Other than the bathroom being a little small, the place is fantastic and highly recommendable.

  • Wonderful and comfortable apartment in a great neighbourhood, perfect for cycling around beautiful Copenhagen. Sigurd and his sister made me feel completely welcome, and were very gracious hosts.
