Lia was a great host! Room was well presented, clean and tidy. Her recommendations of what to do in the area were helpful also.
The location of the house made it very easy to get into town :)
The room is very well described, clean and with a very comfortable bathroom fully equipped. Lia is a perfect host, very kind a full of suggestions. The neighbhorood is nice, well connected via Bus and Tube with many restsaurants all around
Lia, Jo and family were very welcoming of us into their home. The room was charming and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Overall a great stay.
Lia's place was great. I can highly recommend it. She is very friendly and the room is really great: Clean, tidy, comfortable bed. It was nice to wake up to a very tasty breakfast.
This is a great base for exploring London. The nearest Tube is about five minutes away and buses run from the end of the road. From there, the entire London transport system opens up to you.
Lia and Jo are the perfect hosts; they couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. They provide an extensive information sheet with lists of places to go, where to eat and how to get around. This is the kind of local knowledge that you'll never get in a big hotel, where they always seem more interested in plugging the standard list of West End shows and tourist traps.
The room itself, and its adjacent shower room/WC, is extremely clean and comfortable and it's also incredibly quiet. The shower, by the way, is not the standard "Barbie's Watering Can" variety that is so common in Britain and Ireland; it's a proper rainfall type. The window looks out on the back garden and, at right angles to that, a separate long stretch of ground which is used for a variety of purposes, including a playground for the children of the road and a vegetable garden for some of the residents. Beyond this are the back gardens of Loftus Road, which runs parallel to Arminger Road. This creates a calm sense of space that is rare in this bustling city.
Uxbridge Road, which runs on an east-west line at the bottom of Arminger Road, is a multi-ethnic wonder. The local shops and supermarkets are full of the kinds of fruit and vegetables that you'd never expect to find in this part of the world. There is a corresponding choice of restaurants - Middle Eastern, African, Nepalese, Thai, Chinese, Mexican and so on ... even English! You won't be bored ... or hungry!
Lia was an excellent host - The room was clean and tidy, also the en-suite was great!
Lia and Jo were great hosts. They were very helpful, looked up bus connections for us and answered readily all our questions. The house was very cosy and we felt quite at home. Our room was clean and quiet and the bed comfortable. The bathroom for our sole use was next to the bedroom with a nice big shower and very clean as well. Lia provided us with a nice breakfast in the morning and we could make tea and coffee when ever we wanted. The Tube was close and it didnt take long to get downtown. All in all we had a great time and would love to come back!

I am a west London primary school teacher originally from Cork. I live with my husband Joaquim and our three children aged 6,5 and 2.
We have been hosting since April 2012 and have thus far enjoyed the AirBnB experience, meeting people from all cultures.
Both Joaquim and I speak Italian as we both met there and lived in Tuscany for some years. We enjoy the simple pleasures in life mainly cooking, and good company.
We feel that we could offer fun lively but very warm family environment for your stay. If needed we would be happy to provide personal recommendations of the local area or wider London sights.
