The Mustang Bunkhouse is located next to the outdoor cooking shelter, the heart of the camp for meals, games and conversation. It is across from the Pegasus treehouses and has its own fire pit and seating area. It is a 1 minute walk from the Birdbath building with showers and flush toilets. Bring your toiletries. No smoking.
Join us for our family camps, nature and sustainability education, archery, tomahawk throwing, climbing on the mobile climbing wall, yoga, qigong, star talks and hikes.

The space
This rustic wooden space with nice views, ceiling fan and electric heater is a wonderful place to relax with a good book and have a soothing nights sleep. This is part of the 156 acre Santa Fe Treehouse Camp & Wilderness Preserve.

Guest access
You will have access to the outdoor cooking shelter, hiking trails and all camp amenities unless otherwise notified due to groups in camp. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy a 20 minute hike to a creek (in wet weather) in the forest or climb up Shaggy Peak.

Other things to note
Bunkhouse has electricity an electric heater and ceiling fan. The sleeping area has a combination door lock.
There is NO bathroom at the cabin. A communal bathhouse is about a one minute walk away.

In cold weather, the screen porch and the outdoor cook area can be cold, so plan your meals accordingly.

$10 fee per up to 3 dogs/per night. Don't allow dogs on camp beds. Please bring a dog bed, blanket, towel and dish for their comfort and safety. You may also wish to have some sort of paw protection. We ask that you not bring dogs into the cook area. If you have to leave them for a short time please have them in a secure, safe dog crate. Please pick up dog poop and place bagged poop in the kitchen trash.

Note: Though we allow 2 cars for guests at this site, we charge $10 for the 2nd car and it will need to be parked close by in the main parking area near the office.
