Serene location (Moon House on right) with pool! A 2 min stroll takes you to pristine blue water for wading, kayaking, fishing, or snorkeling. Closest beach is 10 min drive. Off the beaten path, but central location to pristine beaches, George Town, and many tourist attractions. After exploring the island all day, you’ll love coming back to the Moon House to relax, take a dip in the lighted pool, use basketball court, mini golf in backyard, gather on the deck with a cool drink and stargaze.
The space
This 2 bed 2 bath home is roomy enough for your family of four. A short stroll will take you to crystal water. Located close to Exuma’s popular waterfront restaurant you can choose to dine out, or cook your meals in the full kitchen, recently updated with new cabinets and counter. It has all the comforts of home. There are 2 TVs available to stream your shows. We offer amazon app but other apps require your own login info. Enjoy amazon after coming home from enjoying the tropical beaches or life changing excursions.
Enjoy the backyard deck with a large swimming pool, plenty of deck seating, adirondack chairs (including a supersized Adirondack chair for selfies) a hammock, mini golf, and a basketball court. There’s a storage bin and cabinet with beach chairs, pool and beach toys, floaties, etc.
Ask us for recommendations on excursions to swim with the pigs, nurse sharks, visit iguana island, and so much more.
Although we offer all the comforts of home and a few extra amenities for your stay, keep in mind Exuma is a remote island and we can’t control things such as the rough roads, wifi interruptions, outages, the weather, critters, nature, etc.... but we will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay so contact us if any issues arise. The stunning beauty of the island will compensate for any and all concerns!!
If it’s available you can rent the sun house space as well. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Renting out both the Sun and Moon House will give you 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, ideal for your large group.
Guest access
You have the entire Moon House to yourself. The pool and backyard is a shared with Sun House. If you want both houses, check out listing to rent out the Sun and Moon House. Perfect for large groups and better privacy.
We recommend renting a SUV or Jeep but taxis are available. There’s plenty of parking in front of the house.
Other things to note
Our property manager can help with anything from grocery shopping, recommedations, and events for special occasions.
Power surges are common in the Caribbean. Generally power will resume within a few minutes. We have emergency lightbulbs and a power bank for cell phones, cpap, etc.
Water company sometimes will lower water pressure at night.
Children must not be left alone in the backyard as the pool is not gated.
Pool toys, floats, snorkel gear, deck cushions and hammock may change as needed.
Pickle ball net and paddles are stored in outdoor closet so guests can set up at their own convenience.
Many roads outside of George Town are unpaved and easier to drive with a jeep or SUV. Take care when driving.
A/C:
The one remote controls all 3 units but each room can be set to a different temperature . The LED button will turn wall unit light off so it won't bother you when sleeping.
Because the house is secluded and surrounded by lush greenery, with few street lights, it gets really dark at night, perfect for star and moon gazing.
Don’t let rain keep you inside. It’s typically brief and even if it’s raining on one side of the island it might be bright and sunny on the other side.
The Sun House next door may be occupied at times by other guests. If other guests are renting next door, please do not park in front of that house. If next door is occupied keep noise to respectable level when hanging outside after 11p. You have the option of renting out both sides at a discount.
