Luxury home on the top of Mt Dandenong
Situated less than an hour from the Melbourne CBD, on the uppermost reach of the Dandenong Ranges, amid cool ferny glades and lush towering native forests. This is one of Mount Dandenong's premier getaway homes with majestic views to be experienced day or night over the Melbourne skyline.
Walking distance to the famous SkyHigh Observatory and restaurant and a short drive to the mystical William Ricketts Sanctuary and The Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden.
The space
We are offering a six bedroom house with high ceilings, expansive windows and skylights which give an abundance of natural light and a vast terrace including a Spa for outdoor entertaining.
If there are fewer than 7 guests the entire lower floor will be available which includes a master bedroom with full en-suite, walk in wardrobe and king size bed, along with a large wide screen television with Foxtel, Netflix and Stan. 2 guest bedrooms with queen size beds, televisions and another bathroom. There is a large open plan kitchen and dining room, laundry and high ceiling, spacious sitting room, again with a large wide screen television showing Foxtel, Netflix and Stan.
You will also have full access to our theatre room with reclining leather chairs and full surround sound. The theatre room has Fetch, Netflix and Stan accounts.
For 7 to 8 guests, the forth bedroom which is above the master bedroom will be opened up. This bedroom doesn't have an en-suite but does have 2 single beds and large wide screen television. Please be aware that it requires a booking of 9 or more guests to open the 3rd bathroom.
For 9 to 11 guests, the fifth Garden View Bedroom, which boasts queen size bed, walk-in-wardrobe and another gorgeous en-suite bathroom will also be available.
For 12 to 13 guests the 6th bedroom which is designed for kids 12 and over and has a double lower bunk and single upper bunk will be opened. This shares an en-suite with the 5th bedroom.

The Kitchen is light filled and equipped for self catering. It contains a top-of-the-range oven, stove, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and other appliances.
Our lovely mountain retreat is ideal for people coming to the Dandenong Ranges for weddings or other functions and conveniently located within walking distance to the famous SkyHigh function centre.
We also have a theatre room for guests to enjoy a home cinema experience. This room is fully equipped with surround sound, electric reclining leather seats, projector and screen, Fetch, Stan, Netflix and is a great addition for all to enjoy.
It’s large size makes it the perfect base for a mountain getaway, wedding accommodation or just a private luxurious sanctuary.
*Please note that strictly only the guests who are booked to stay are allowed on the property over night and the house is not suitable for infants or children under 12 years old. No evening parties with extra guests are allowed*
If you would like to hold a day time gathering with more guests than those who are booked to stay you must obtain prior approval. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may incur additional charges.
We are located in a very quiet area so the peace and tranquility of our neighbours and respecting our local community is absolutely paramount.
The house has all the modern amenities along with large living spaces for guests to relax and unwind.
Guest access -
There is space in front of the garage for 2 cars and then a further 4 cars down the drive or there is space for multiple cars on Observatory Road. The garage is used as our storage area and is not accessible for guests.
There are walking tracks and paths accross from the property for guests to explore.
There is also outdoor seating around the property and fantastic views of the city day and night. There is a fire pit in the garden for use in the spring or autumn for a comfort fire. Outdoor fires are not allowed in the summer or June and July.
Other things to note
Children under 12 years old are not allowed because of the spa and the house has open steps, hard floors along with a fireplace, there are lots of areas where they can fall and hurt themselves.
We do not allow pets to stay at the house.
Guest access
Guests have access to all open rooms. Please be aware that extra bedrooms and bathrooms can only be opened up if more guests are selected during the booking process. If you have single guests requiring a bedroom to themselves then you may have to book for more guests than you have attending to open up the extra bedrooms.
Other things to note
There is space for around 6 cars to park, 2 cars at the top of the drive and 4 up the drive. There is also space for up to 5 cars on observatory road. The garage is used for storage and is not accessible by guests. This property is not suitable for pets, infants and young children.
