The space
Set in a simply stunning location, in a UNESCO World Heritage site, Gwynfa Bach Cottage is surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, with it’s waterfalls, mountains and sweeping sandy beaches of the Cambrian Coast.

This 2-bedroomed, 3-storey, holiday cottage, with its' own private drive, sleeps 5 guests across two bedrooms. It was originally a 19C slate workers cottage and has been stylishly renovated to a very high standard to bring it into the 21C, whilst retaining many of its charming original features. It is modern, light and airy with all the modern amenities and home comforts you would expect for a relaxing stay.

We provide all linen, towels and household essentials such as toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid and anti-bacterial hand wash to get you started. Please bring your own beach towels.

There is a light and airy family-sized kitchen with underfloor heating and plenty of dining space for all the family; fully equipped with a full-sized dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and a child-friendly safety hob and electric oven.

There is a separate door through to the lounge, which features a multi-fuel log burner for cosy nights in, two comfy leather sofas, coffee table and the 'Smart TV' where you can gain access to BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime with your own personal log in. You can even connect a games console to it with the HDMI cable provided. There is also an Amazon ‘Alexa’ smart speaker you can play your favourite tunes through.

There is a modern and spacious family bathroom on the middle floor, complete with freestanding bath, double shower and twin sinks with feature waterfall taps.

The master bedroom with a double bed is situated on the top floor with views across the valley. The family bedroom is on the middle floor (opposite the family bathroom) with views up the valley too and has full-size bunk beds, a single bed and feature fireplace.

Outside, the south-facing front garden overlooks a pretty little stream and has views of the hills and the valley, perfect for sitting out on warm summer days and evenings. There is also a small enclosed patio area to the rear of the cottage and own private drive with parking for one car.

We are a family of 4, who love travelling, exploring the outdoors, mountain walking, cycling, running, kayaking and paddle boarding.

I grew up in North Wales and holidayed in Tywyn and Aberdovey as a child. I never tire of the beautiful scenery of the mountains, lakes and beaches in Wales and we try to visit as often as we can with our own family. Wales is simply a stunning place.
