Mountain and valley views

Guests say the views are lovely.
Lilla Rustica is an elevated cabin among the trees. Private, with Stunning views this was built by "The Tree House Guys" a local Vermont company whom can be found having a season on the DIY network. Tons of detail, while keeping the design natural and simple. Unbelievable views of Camels hump State park. A loft with one queen bed and downstairs has a queen bed with three sides of the bed having windows facing the views. Hiking offered right from the cabin. An awesome getaway!

The space
Lilla Rustica cabin in the trees has a beautiful nestled in feel with incredible views from all windows. One of the highlights is the downstairs queen bed. Surrounded on three sides by windows you can look at the stars while lying in bed, or perhaps hear deer walk under the cabin while sleeping.

Feel far from it all while still close to route 100 in Vermont which has Ben and Jerry's, Prohibition Pig, Stowe, Sugar Bush and the Mad River Valley, Lawsons and The Alchemist breweries, Lot of swimming holes and tons of hiking and mountain biking.
Internet is provided as well as a small refrigerator, and luxurious sheets and pillows. Stay warm and cozy inside the treehouse with a propane fireplace.
Water is limited up in the trees, but you will be provided with all you need of some of the best Spring water you may have ever tasted.

There is no shower in Lilla Rustica, we are entirely off grid. For longer stays there are swimming holes, gyms and spas close by. The toilet for the cabin is located just at the end of ramp from the front door. About a 5 second walk. It is private for those staying in Lilla Rustica. It is a porta potty built to look like an outhouse. The advantage to this is that is rarely used and only by those guests of the cabin as well as fully cleaned and emptied very often. Having a toilet up in the trees is difficult. We know how important a clean bathroom is to guests and we think you will be pleasantly surprised with the experience.

Dishes, glass wear etc are provided, dish towels, sheets, water, a way to make coffee and a small single burner gas stove.

It is super cozy and perhaps best for a couple. However, groups of four out having adventures during the day will love to come back to the cabin and enjoy its cozy feel in the evening. Close to ski mountains such as Sugarbush, Mount Ellen, Mad River Glenn, Bolton, Stowe. Also close to world class breweries such as, the Alchemist, Lawson's, Idletyme, Prohibition Pig, Von Trapp. Short drive to Ben and Jerry's, and within reach of Hill Farmstead.

It makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but only short drives to so many attractions.

It is located up on a mountain. The initial climb is steep, but then becomes a gentle grade up the last few miles. In mudseason, you may have to just drive a little slower. In winter it is a town road and generally very well plowed and sanded. In the event that the plow hasn't yet plowed and sanded during snow storms or icy conditions, 4 wheel drive, all wheel drive or chains may be needed. At least good studded winter tires, if none of the above. This is Vermont and we are full of back dirt roads and are accustomed to the mountain life and all that that entails! We love to enjoy it as well, so snow storms are always a celebration here! After all, we have more miles of snowmobile trails in Vermont than paved roads and we are nestled between multiple ski mountains!

Unfortunately we no longer allow pets. we absolutely love them, however due to damage and needing to replace furniture we no longer accommodate pets.
