Also 'alfresco' in the garden, not in the room.
Location ok. The room looks much better in the picture. Beds and pillows are way too soft. Breakfast, towels and toiletries are not provided. Too pricy for what we got.
Sorry about the mattress and pillow not being firm. \in order to please most of the people, most of the time I needed to take the middle route and hence provide 'medium' bedding.
The bathtub is fibre glass and thewhite stains wont come out, my cleaner and myself have tried all the 'online stain removal methods' without success. There is the option of a shower in the bathroom.
Four blue towels WERE provided, so were toiletries. 2 towels in the bathroom and 2 towels on the chair beside the bed , as with all previous guests to this room. Shower gel on the tiled shelf by the bath; shampoo and conditioner in the 3-door mirrored bathroom cabinet.
I was always on hand to help, so why did you not ask? You did ask if I could keep your luggage for Sat. Sun and Mon till 11am! But did not eventually collect till 3.30pm, even though you checked out on the Saturday!
I am disappointed that your review focused on criticism only.
The host is a very nice and kind person, staying her house I have a good time.the house is beautiful, the two beds room is big and clean. The traffic to central of London is easy, the house is near the Hammersmith station.
We were warmly welcome by our host.

We had a wonderful time at Lorraine's. She was a wonderful host made us feel very welcome. The house was really excellent. We felt independent. Lorraine leaves you alone, so while you are independent she is always there for you. Her house is one of the very good neighbourhoods of London which is Barnes. It is centrally connected both by bus and train. Hammersmith is a few bus stops aways and is a good hub to catch the various lines of the underground.
We had a kitchenette part of her main kitchen for making tea and coffee. There was a also a microwave and we were given a shelf in her fridge.
The listing description was quite accurate.
While we had a short association by staying there for 11 days we left thinking Lorraine was our friend.
This was our first Airbnb experience, and we were very pleased with everything. Lorraine is an excellent host who makes sure you are happy with your stay through her attention to details and helpful advice on all things local.
Barnes is a quiet residential area, there are many nice restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and a top quality movie theater at Olympic Studios all within walking distance from Lorraine's house.
Barnes has excellent transport links to the rest of London: there are frequent buses to Hammersmith subway station, several of which offer 24-hour service. You can also walk there, it takes about 15 minutes. Hammersmith subway is convenient to central London, as well as Heathrow airport. There is also a huge Westfield shopping mall nearby, you can take #72 bus there.
Lorraine is usually available to chat with guests, and is a pleasure to talk to. She is well versed in history and current events, traveled extensively has many interesting stories to share.
The room is exactly as described, beds are very comfortable. In summary, this is an authentic Airbnb experience not to be missed. We are very grateful to Lorraine for making us feel at home in London.
The listing description was accurate and the neighborhood was a charming English neighborhood in a desirable community. Lorraine was a very accommodating host greeting us with a cup of tea and recommendations for sight-seeing in London which helped considerably as this was our first time in London. We cut short our stay because we were on what would be called a genealogical tour and decided we wanted to spend more time visiting ancestral areas in the English countryside. We have no trouble recommending this listing.
