The Space

This is a new house I designed and built so that my 2 kids that are off to college would have a nice private suite for themselves when they came to visit. It just so happens that this is also perfect for airbnb travelers!! All the suites are soundproofed between each unit, and each unit has its own lockable door. The big plus is that its only about $6 taxi fare to the downtown entertainment district!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We were very happy with our experience at Rick's! He was easy to get in touch with when we had questions and was very accommodating. The space was beautiful, updated and super clean. Cozy front porch for hanging out on and only a 5 or 6 minute cab ride from downtown. You can easily walk to downtown too if you want to stretch your legs and get a little exercise. We would definitely stay here again :)

  • Excellent stay! We had no problem finding the place or gaining access to our room - the instructions provided by Rick were clear and accurate. Great location - we walked downtown for dinner and music and walked back also. The room itself was very modern and clean; private washroom and small kitchen area were excellent. I would definitely stay at this location again if in Nashville; much more charming than staying at a hotel and quick/easier/more private than staying at a typical BnB. All around great stay!! Thanks Rick.

  • Skip any other hotel in the area and STAY HERE!!! Extremely comfortable and in a great location! Do yourselves the favor and try it!

  • Rick's place is great! Lovely decor, nice bedding and towels, comfy beds, and even soft rugs (since I like to sit on the floor sometimes!). You didn't want for anything. There were dishes, dish towels, cleaning supplies and even bottled water and a couple of cokes in the min fridge!

I am so happy I stayed there instead of downtown someplace. I would have never found the wonderful Farmers Market (stop in and see the Butter Cake Babe and the Burrito place) that is a stones throw away or the BiCentennial Park which I thoroughly enjoyed.

We walked downtown and to the Gulch area couple of times and home once. We took Rick's recommendation and used the LYFT car service when we needed a ride whenit was raining and at night. There is a free circulator bus that runs in the area until about 6pm as well.

It is also very close to a lovely area called Germantown where we had crepes and coffee one morning

Close, convenient, homey, quiet, and peaceful and I would stay here again and recommend you do too!

  • Great host, good suggestions for places to eat and things to do around Nashville. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We will probably stay here next time we come to town.

  • Beautiful and well appointed studio! My wife and I loved our stay. The apartment is very close to downtown, we usually walked (20 min walk to the Broadway area) but we also took a cab a few times (generally a $6-$7 fare).

Rick was a great host, I had an issue with the wireless internet connection one morning and he was immediately on the scene to help. Turns out it was a problem with Comcast so there was nothing he could do, but I was very impressed with his responsiveness.

  • A friend joined me for my 1 night at Rick's place and it was her first Airbnb experience. Although at first skeptical about the whole thing, she was swayed by how nice, clean, and professional experience was. The check-in process was smooth, the apartment looked really nice, and we even had a private parking spot behind the house (which was important since I had a lot of stuff in my car). Beyond being nice, the apartment was clean, had fresh linens, and the bed was changed. The location was good also--a short Uber ride to downtown. In sum, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • The listing was as advertised. Nice 1 bedroom with small wet bar area. Very short drive, or cab ride to downtown or the gulch area. Nashville was a pretty great area. Thanks!

  • This was a lovely suite with everything we needed! Thanks!

  • Myself and a friend stayed at Rick's place for 4 days during our spring break trip to Nashville. The home and the room were gorgeous and so much more than we could have imagined. The room was very comfortable and accommodated us very nicely. We felt at home at Rick's place as well as very safe. The walk downtown during the day was great, however, I would recommend taking cabs to downtown at night. I would absolutely stay with Rick again and would highly recommend others do as well.

I know your not coming to Nashville to visit me, but i will do my best to provide a great place to stay while you are in Nashville! I am a single Dad with 2 great kids off to college! I built this home 3 years ago and love living near downtown Nashville. I am an avid walker and most weeks put in 15 to 20 miles just walking from my home to the Historical Germantown area, Bicentennial Mall State Park, Farmers Market, State Capital, Legislative Plaza, TPAC, then on to Lower Broad, 2nd Ave, and Riverfront park where all the honky tonks are located! That total distance is just a little over 2 miles each way. I was in the USAF and Tennessee Air Guard for 13 years where i was a navigator on C-130's. After my military life i became a General Contractor and started my own business. After being in the country for so long i decided to try the city life. I bought a vacant lot in this historical overlay district and loved it. Since then I have built 2 more homes on this street. I do love this up and coming neighborhood. I also love to hike the mountains! I have summed 3 12,000 foot peaks in the Rockies and last summer my son and I summed 14,254 foot Long's Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. I must admit - it kicked my ass ... but wow!... what a view! Leaves no doubt there is a God! I also love to kayak and travel. But the best times are with the kids. We love to play strategy board games..Settlers of Catan, Acquire, and Cashflow. I love Axis and Allies, but its hard to get them to play that! I also play in a Texas holdem Poker League...for points...not for cash! UPDATE: That's my first grandbaby...Walt....Born 19 November 2012!!
