New England Charm, Cozy Blue Room

House - Private room · Robin Rd, Sandwich, MA 02563, United States

The Space

Perfect for a couple or single traveler, this spacious room offers a comfortable, double sized bed and shares a full bath.

This spacious home offers plenty of living space for relaxing and socializing. A large great room provides ample space for board games and watching movies, featuring Netflix and Pandora while a separate parlor offers an intimate, quiet space for reading.

The house is situated on a large, secluded lot just 5 minutes from Town Neck Beach and less than 10 minutes to the beautiful East Sandwich and Sandy Neck beaches, and just 1 hour from Boston and 1 hour from Providence, RI. As a guest in my home you have use of my beach chairs and beach gear. For bicyclists, the area boasts two spectacular bike paths. The Cape Cod Rail Trail starts in Hyannis while the Shining Sea Bike Path starts in nearby Falmouth.

The yard features a fabulous outdoor shower with hot and cold running water. If you have never showered outdoors, this is the time to try it, and you’ll be happy you did!

You will find fresh fruit, assorted breakfast offerings, juice and coffee each morning.

Conveniently located just over the Sagamore Bridge and right off Route 6 which connect to the entire Cape. The house is located minutes from Downtown Sandwich, which features charming restaurants and antique shops.

Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod and is home to the Sandwich Glass Museum, the historic Hoxie House, the Grist Mill, and Heritage Gardens. Downtown Sandwich is perfect for walking and shopping.

2014 is an especially great time to stay in Sandwich being the 375th Anniversary of the Town of Sandwich AND the 100th Anniversary of the Cape Cod Canal! Amazing activities are planned; Hot Air Balloon rides, fireworks, Parade of Lights, and, a rare display of the Tall Ships through the Cape Cod Canal.

I would love to have you as a guest in my home, where I also reside in a separate area, and am happy to offer advice and suggestions, or plan a fun evening beachfront campfire.

  • We were made to feel very welcome at Christine's. She is a marvelous host. Her home is beautiful and very spacious in a gorgeous wooded setting just minutes from Sandwich. The furnishings are very in keeping with the home. We had a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was right across the hall. We shared stories, wine, cake and feel like we were visiting old friends rather than being hosted by someone we had never met. I highly recommend this airbnb if in the cape cod area.

  • Christine is a perfect host and made me feel at home. She is a great cook, and I was lucky to taste her homemade ravioli and chocolate cake when I arrived after having only eaten a bit at a gas station. The breakfast was really good too, and tips for visiting Cape Cod and for a morning run at the canal were perfect, although she could not do anything about the rain :-)
Beautiful, clean room with a good bed so I got a perfect nights sleep.
    Highly recommended!

  • Home away from home!
Staying with Christine was an absolute delight. We had a nice cosy room in Christines lovely home. While we stayed there, Christine also hostet other BnB'ers and it was fun to meet other turists and hear about their Cape Cod experiences. Every morning Christine made us all a delicious breakfast. She was super helpful with tips and tricks for getting the most out off the Cape. She gave us beachchairs for the beach-time and a s'mores-kit so we could make s'mores at our beach fire.
The place was also super clean.
    Absolutely recommendable!

  • The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood and with lots of trees around. It is a very relaxing environment. Take your beer and look at the tees for a while.
The room that I got was beautiful and very elegantly decorated.
The blue color in the night was amazing.
Christine is a lovely and caring host. She cooked us amazing breakfast and talked with me every morning about her job and Cape Cod.
She was very kind to give us directions to different attractions in the Cape.
The rooms are very clean and there is also an outside shower that is very beautiful.
Christine did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. All of my friends said they felt like they were at home and it was like their own mom was cooking for them.
I wish we stayed more than two days and enjoyed the house and her company.

  • We had a great time during the stay at Christines place, even though we were only there for one day. Her house is located at a beautiful location surrounded by green and forests. In the morning, she made us breakfast in her kitchen, were we sat at the kitchen table. The bedroom and bathroom were both nice and clean. Recommended!

  • We stayed one night at Christine's place and it was just PERFECT. It's really rare to find such great accommodation and welcome, all in one! We booked at the very last-minute and Christine was very responsive and available for check-in. When we arrived, she gave us great advice and explanation to make the most of our (little) time in cape cod and the following morning she prepared a WONDERFUL breakfast for us (including great blueberry pancakes!). Her house is beautiful, with a perfect location in Sandwhich, in a very green area. The room is just as lovely as you see it in the pictures, the bed is super comfortable, the shared bathroom is conveniently located close to the room. At Christine's you will feel in the best B&B ever, this is the perfect place to explore Cape Cod, be sure not to miss it! We'd love to go back to the Cape and spend more time there, we'd certainly stay at Christine's again and again!

  • Thanks Christine for making us so welcome and for being a fantastic host during our stay. We really enjoyed the local Cape Cod evening beach firepit dinner you organised and appreciated your tips to ensure we organised our days to achieve the best of the weather for our visit to the Island. We would not hesitate to recommend you to our friends and colleagues and will definitely return when we are next in the area - you are so centrally located to experience the best of New England. Thanks again, Neil and Jenny Wilks, Brisbane Australia

  • We had a perfect time on Cape Cod. Started every morning with Chrisitines delicious breakfast and then everything on the Cape was in reach from Sandwich. Thanks for your hospitality.

  • Christine is a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The house is very quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable, so needless to say, we slept very well. She has both full and queen size. Sandy Neck beach is a short drive away and free after 3:30pm. Christine was also very helpful to plan our day and she has beach chairs, blankets, etc. that guests can use any time. Really, a perfect place to stay!

  • Christine and her home were wonderful. The house was in a wooded area of Sandwich. Sandwich is one of my favorite places on The Cape. Very convenient location to the highway so you don't have to go through so many places and away from traffic. Christine made a delicious and large breakfast of blueberry pancakes, fruit and drinks. Truly a treat.

I have been in the hospitality industry my entire adult life. Hosting with AirBnB has become natural for me, and I totally enjoy meeting all the folks that visit the Cape from ALL OVER the world! I love to cook for my family and friends but I also enjoy the many nearby restaurants. I am a strong believer in supporting local small business. I love to shop for antiques, a hobby I inherited from my Mother. I enjoy going to the movies especially now that we have a new theatre with really comfortable seating just 5 minutes away! Recently we have had guests stay at our home from as far away as Japan and Australia. I love showing them all that the Cape has to offer.
