Noemi was a very obliging and welcoming host, and I'm grateful to her for being so quick to reply to my queries. The flat is incredibly centrally located, and while I was there for a work-related trip, I can imagine that it's a perfect spot from which to explore the city. It's a very short distance to any number of restaurants, cafes, and shops, not to mention some of the main sights. I had a comfortable stay, although as others have mentioned, the flat is quite small and can feel a bit dark - it might not be the best place to hang out for hours, but I'm guessing most people have other plans for Budapest anyway! The wi-fi worked really well, and the bathroom is fully equipped (I didn't use the kitchen, but I saw there was some tea and coffee provided).
One downside of the central location is that it can get a bit noisy at night, especially when people are returning from bars, so if you're a very light sleeper just keep that in mind. I'd also recommend keeping the key code which Noemi provides handy as an alternative way of getting through the gate from the street - once, my physical key just wouldn't work, and I got a bit stressed trying to remember if I'd written down the code!
Noemi is very communicative despite there being a language barrier, she is very nice and accommodating as well. The location is perfect for getting around and exploring, it's within a stones throw to cafés, shops and the metro. The flat itself felt a bit more like a hostel, not necessarily somewhere to relax after a long day but definitely a good home base for exploring.
Noemi's apartment was perfect for our Budapest experience. My primary reason for choosing it was its great location and it didn't disappoint. From there we walked to Castle Hill at day and then to all the restaurants and bars just a few streets to the east at night. The Deak Ferenc Ter metro is also just a few steps away which took us straight to Széchenyi thermal bath. Noemi was also very hospitable, waited up late for us to arrive, and provided tourism guides and maps. Wifi worked great. Very satisfied.
Noemi was extremely helpful and a great host. She kindly waited up for us until 2am as our flight was delayed. She also left lots of guidebooks and maps for us to get our trip started.
The flat is very central, the metro is literally on the corner and lots of bars and restaurants are in walking distance as our most of the central sites. What we hadn't realised was that it is right opposite a multi story car park. It is not noisy but it does make the apartment very dark and it is a shame that you cannot see the skyline which is so beautiful.
There are some cooking facilities but we are out. It is very clean and tidy also.
The flat is good as a base as it is so central but we didn't hang out there as it was quite dark and small. However for a weekend it is unlikely you will spend much time in the flat anyway.
This is a great find. Right in the center of things, nothing is more than a (very) short walk away. The apartment itself is pretty much as you see it in the photos; clean, fast wifi and part of a typical Budapest apartment block with a central atrium. I had earplugs and an eyemask with me from the flight and used them both - I would recommend you do the same, but its not a big deal, i'm just a light sleeper.
You are literally metres from Starbucks/McDonalds, an Irish bar, and all the shops of downtown Buda. Can't fault the experience. Two thumbs up!
