BRAND NEW!!! You have found our very special place! This is a little slice of heaven...
We are located 10 miles west of Port Angeles, overlooking Freshwater Bay, on high bluff waterfront. Our awesome view is looking over the Strait of Juan de Fuca toward Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where Victoria & Mt Baker can be seen. We are nestled in the middle of the gateway to Olympic National Park, and everything this area has to offer. We know you will enjoy your stay, "By the Sea"...

The space
Our lovely tiny cabin, (280 sq ft & loft, with porch), is in the country where it is beautiful and quiet. The Queen size bed on the main floor, and Queen size mattress on the floor of the open loft, are complete with comfortable luxury linens; cozy velvet loft sheets, and lots of extra warm blankets. (The loft bed is a Queen, very luxurious mattress. Because of it’s depth, the loft ceiling is fairly close to mattress- a bit tight for adults. Just want to give you a heads up.) We do have WiFi, and internet connection. Phone service will occasionally roam to Canada, please check your service and settings. There is an electric fireplace inside that heats the cabin adequately. Leading up to the loft is a pull out ladder for access to the top. There is NOT a safety gate at the top of the ladder. Because of this, and the fact that we are on a high bluff waterfront area, please be mindful to watch your children. It is NOT advised to allow your children to be unattended inside or outside. Our kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. We have a small refrigerator, microwave, an instant hot water pot, a large hot air cooker, a toaster, a blender, a drip coffee maker, French press for coffee, grilling utensils, pans, and most utensils you will need. There is also a propane BBQ grill - we provide the propane, & instructions for it’s use. (It has a gas burner on the side for cooking). It is outside under the covered patio. Since we are a 15 minute drive from Port Angeles, it is a good idea to stock up on your groceries prior to your arrival.
We are on a septic system, NOTHING but toilet paper is allowed to be flushed down the toilet. (ALL tampons, personal hygiene wipes (even the ones that say on the package that they are flushable), urinary and menstrual pads, condoms, and all baby diapering supplies need to be disposed of in the provided waste can in the bathroom.) The cabin has a 10 gallon hot water tank, this means shorter hot showers.
NO smoking of ANY type of products are allowed. Also because the entire interior of the cabin is tongue and groove dried cedar, absolutely NO flames of any type are allowed in the cabin, (this includes open flame candles, flame lanterns, burning incense, burning sage, or any other combustible items that burns or smolders.)
No pets of ANY kind are allowed on our property, this includes any type of service animals.
Our cabin is too small to accommodate a walker, wheelchair, or a bath bench in the shower.

Where you’ll be

Port Angeles, Washington, United States

This is a very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful neighborhood. The sounds and sights you see and hear are the waves on the beach, the bald eagles talking and soaring in front of the cabin, and the quietness around us. Out on the water, you might see Orcas (Killer Whales), humpback whales, and seals. If you have a good pair of binoculars, bring them. There are also not a shortage of black tail deer in the neighborhood. There is also limited light pollution out here, which allows for nice star gazing at night. Quiet hours are from 10p-8a.
Only registered guests may stay overnight in the cabin.
No parties or events are allowed on our property.

Cynthia and Jon have lived in the Port Angeles area for over 40 years. We are both active outdoor enthusiasts and are very passionate about this part of the Pacific Northwest. Cynthia has just retired from being an RN in this community for the past 30 years. Prior to this, I used my Criminal Justice degree to work as a Deputy Sheriff, 911 operator, and a seasonal Law Enforcement National Park Ranger. I spent one season in Glacier National Park, and 2 seasons here in Olympic National Park - at Hurricane Ridge. As a young college kid from Minnesota, I spent 2 summers working as a waitress at Lake Crescent Lodge. I knew that living here in Washington was where I needed to be. Jon also recently retired after 22 year with our local Sheriff's Department. He also worked 17 years as an aerospace manufacturing engineer. Prior to that he spent 5 years as a Wild Land Firefighter on a helitack crew for Los Angeles County. We are here to answer any of your questions or anything that you would like to talk about.
