About This Listing
A home away from home
Great location(everyone keeps on telling me)
STEAP characteristic stairs (not for people who hate stairs or have troubles with legs or feet/ do not walk well)
What I offer: great location, comfortable bed, private & clean home.
Be careful for:
The stairs are really steep
On the pictures you see one of the two studios I rent out in the same building. If you are looking for a place for 4 people this could also be ideal! This studio is located on the second floor of the building. It is right in the middle of the center of Amsterdam. Just around the corner of the lively part of Amsterdam. Nearby everything in town: museums, shops, clubs, bars and restaurants. Public transport is really around the corner. The central station is 15 minutes walking distance and by tram it will only take you 5 minutes (tram 1, 2 and 5). The famous/oldest café in Amsterdam is right in front.
What's in the private studio?:
•Comfortable double bed
•Kitchenette with fridge, tea cooker, Nespresso machine
•Private shower and toilet
•Windows are double, which keeps out the most of the noice
•Free use of washing machine and dryer
On walking distance of:
•The Central Station
•The Van Gogh Museum
•The Anne Frank House
•The Stedelijk museum
•The Rembrandts Plein
•The shopping streets: Kalverstraat, Leidsestraat or the “Negen Straatjes”
Breakfast can be served upon request for €15 per person per day.
USP: Great location, beautiful building, great bed, clean room and a host that does everything in her power to let her guests leave satisfied and experience a home away from home in Amsterdam. Hoping to exceed your expectations.
Please be aware it is possible that you are booked in my other studio as they are both so alike. This depends on my other bookings, but I will try my best to let you in the studio you prefer of course!
You have your own room with everything you need. You can use my washing mashine and dryer and in that same closset there is a hair dryer or an ironer.
Interaction with Guests
As I live in the same building, so normally I am around to help out with everything you need. You will have your own studio with your own bath room though, so all the privacy you need.
My home is in the best neighboorhood. Everything is closeby and it feels like a small village in the city ring. The best thing to do is just walk around town(the best and quieter on a Sunday morning). For sure also take a boat tour as Amsterdam is really beautifull from the canals.
It is pretty easy to rent a bike as every Dutch person living in Amsterdam uses one. Also trams are pretty easy to use, but as you are closeby everthing I would prefer walking as then you can see everything our city has to offer better.
Please do not smoke(cleaning of curtains will cost €150). Pets are great, but hygienical reasons they are not allowed in my home.
Monique was an excellent host. She looked after every need that we had. I would definitely stay with her again.
This place is highly recommended. Monique is a great host: We´ve got wine on arrival and she makes check-in/-out procedure super easy. The stylish flat is bright, clean and in the very heart of Amsterdam. Very large bed is awaiting you which was super. Would always book again - thanks Monique!
The apartment was amazing and Monique is a fantastic host. It's in the perfect location and it was just as Monique described it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to other people visiting Amsterdam.
Thanks Monique for a clear approach to the business. Very detailed information about the city, how to get there. Pleasant Monique. The room is clean, cool bed, slept well. There are many pillows.Room is small, occupies the second floor of the house, like as a hotel room, bathroom too small. I think this is typical of the houses of Amsterdam. The room has a kitchen cabinets, kitchen utensils, place for washing dishes. Nice design. Everything was good. Like as a home hotel.
The place is very nice and clean, just as described and shown in the pictures. The location is perfect as it is located in the shopping district of Amsterdam. Monique is very helpful and friendly too. Will definitely stay in Monique's place when I come back.
