  • Short version: We'd stay here again, definitely.

Longer version: A lot of people hear Richmond and think bad things. Well, there are bad parts of Richmond, but this isn't one. A quirky, quiet, queer-friendly spot with easy freeway access, easy access to BART and, if it's your kind of thing, an AC Transit transbay line within walking distance. You can also walk to shops and restaurants.

The digs are really nice...clean, cozy, nicely appointed. The kitchen is nice, with things that work and enough space to store groceries and things. The bathroom also works well, with hot water under good pressure and a serviceable toilet and sink. The shared back area also worked really well, providing a very serene setting to do work or just sit and relax.

We didn't get a chance to meet Rachel, but Limor was an absolute blast. Communication was stellar. We felt like we could easily become longtime friends with her.

There were a few misses, however: The place itself is very small...even for two, things were a bit cramped, and we are quite experienced getting around in small spaces. The wireless signal was suboptimal within the flat (though it was much better in the garden in the back.) Also, there was no way to control the heat...you'll need to simply wear layers on those colder nights because presumably it's controlled within the main house.

All of these are minor things, however, which would not prevent us from booking another stay here on our next Bay Area visit.

  • Lovely place! I cannot say enough beautiful things about it. Only 10 minute walk to the Bart so you can get into the city. The room is just as pictured and felt like our very own apartment with plenty of privacy. My boyfriend and I could walk to Trader Joes and come back to cook, which saved us a lot of money. The neighborhood is quiet and gorgeous with lots of pretty flowers and trees everywhere. I'm a photographer so I was in heaven for 3 days.

Limor is so gracious and whenever I needed directions or advice, or if we wanted to stay a little bit longer, she was totally accommodating and just a genuinely nice person. We met Rachel for a second, and she is also very sweet and welcoming. Great people.

We cannot wait to come back!

  • Staying at Limor's place was a delightful experience for our first airbnb involved stay. My boyfriend and I planned a trip to San Francisco for our 2 year anniversary and decided to book the room Limor had posted up because it seemed very quaint and in a convenient location based on what we had planned. Since our flight arrived late in the evening Limor left the key for us in the mailbox and were able to settle in without any trouble. Upon our arrival a cute little tabby greeted us and stayed in our room for a little while until he started scratching the door to get out haha. My boyfriend unfortunately knocked over one of the wine glasses and we both felt awful we hadn't been there more than an hour and had already broken something. He called Limor immediately after and apologized. We offered to pay for it, but Limor insisted that we did not have to which was totally sweet of her. We ended up buying her a cute Japanese cup with a tabby on it that we found in an Asian boutique in San Mateo which we gifted her at the end of our trip due to her hospitality :) Due to a series of events we were unable to meet Limor until the day we were leaving, but she was still super sweet in getting acquainted with us. The room itself has a generous sized closet with hangers provided, pamphlets showing all sorts of entertainment around the area with coupons, the kitchen was clean and had everything you possibly needed to cook up a meal, and the bathroom was fully stocked with all amenities from a hair dryer to mini toothpaste. The parking outside is also plentiful and the location itself is right by the freeway so there's no confusion involved in getting out of the neighborhood. Also I'm sure many reviewers have pointed it out, but the bed is amazingly soft (pretty sure it was tempurpedic?). The lighting in the room also allows you to have dim lighting in case you want to have a romantic dinner indoors as well :) My boyfriend and I definitely felt at home staying at Limor's and we will fully consider it next time we travel up north! Thank you Limor!

  • We loved staying with Limor! Her place is a lovely and cute space, not far from the train, and the area seemed like a nice, safe neighborhood. We enjoyed the extra little touches in the apartment (juice, bread and candy). She was a gracious and super friendly host, and we felt at home right away with her. We wish we could have spent more time talking with her! Highly recommended.

  • We stayed 3 nights at Limor's place. She is so welcoming and fun, a perfect host. It was our first experience on airbnb and we couldn't have found a better place to start. The apartment felt private, had everything we needed along with treats for breakfast, and the bed is super comfy. It was a quick drive getting to and from San Francisco, much easier than I thought. It was nice to know we had such a relaxing and comfortable place to come back to after a long day of wandering the city. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the lovely backyard and garden this time, but we certainly will if we're ever back in the bay area.

The apartment is highly recommended, close to the highway but quiet, very easy to get to SF.

  • Amazing ! In fact we still are talking about how great this little piece of heaven this was. Our host Limor, and her loving family are truly special people and triumphant host. The studio apt was very easy to find, comfortable,& the perfect location for us. The hosts provided us with valuable information and a list of key restaurants to visit while in town. The backyard is beautiful and so relaxing designed to unwind. We also appreciated the ability to do laundry on site. The kitchette was delightful, modern decor was zen and we found that we had everything we needed. We'll be staying here again on our next visit to Berkley & San Francisco.

  • I have been staying in limor guest room for 11 nights. For non-drivers, It is just 20 minutes walk from the bart. The El Cerrito plaza and 99 Ranch Market made me enjoy the shopping and Christian worship very much.

The room is comfortable and all things in kitchen and restroom are easy to use and tailor-made for all visitors. It is great to cook or bake in kitchen.

I like the back garden when watching through the window of kitchen. The birds and cats are making a lovely scene in the morning.

Limor is nice and helpful. She is willing to talk and share the things around Albany. Moreover, I love her passion in dancing too.

I will go again if necessary because there are many place and people that I met makes me unforgettable.
