Marianne was a very attentive host..went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Nice clean home and breakfast was good. Helped us with our bags, and secure parking for the bikes. Got to meet some other guests and exchange stories of travels. Overall nice place to stay.
We had a really nice stay with awesome people. We met there col people, its like a small lovely backpacker that feels like home.
My two traveling companions and I had a lovely time staying with Marianne toward the end of our NZ roadtrip. Clean, comfortable room and bathroom, fluffy towels, tasty coffee and toast in the morning - great place! Marianne was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her about New Zealand and traveling. The lounge area was a little cold in the morning, but I'm used to that in southern NZ! Highly recommended.
Missed this stay due to changes in itinerary.
House is nice and clean, close to city center.
We arrived there at Saturday and hoped to relax in Invercargil on Sunday but sibce city is totally close on Sunday (no shops, no cafe...) we decided to leave earlier to Catlins area so we stayed very short time in the house.
We like to stay at Marianne, she is à very friendly woman.
She helpes us with reservation for the bikini tour, bring us to the coach early in the morning.
Thanks Jan Wilna
Staying at Marianne's place was a nice experience - I liked the room and enjoyed meeting Marianne very much. We had interesting talks and I did learn quite a few things I had not known about. Being able to just walk a few steps and hop on the bus to the CBD of the city was very convenient. Also I was very thankful that Marianne picked me up at the intercity bus stop, and even drove me to the airport when I was on my way out of Invercargill a couple nights later. So, thank you for everything, Marianne, and I am looking forward to meeting you again another time! :o))
Although we only stay for one night in Invercargill for some reason, but Marianne had treat us very warmly. The bed was very clean and warm. Recommended!
