Imagine waking to an ocean, coastline and island view from your private cottage and hot tub!
We had an amazing time here. Diane and Steve were the perfect hosts and the place was exactly as described and pictured. We would book here again in a heartbeat! Amazing views, clean and modern home, and while the location feels remote once you arrive, it's super easy access to Santa Barbara and all the surrounding area. Diane and Steve were very accommodating regarding our arrival and departure, and the duration of our stay -- very clear communication and information up front -- professional caliber with personal and considerate touch.
Spectacular weekend getaway! The cottage was simply wonderful. Located in the hills of Santa Barbara, I can honestly say that once I arrived I did not want to leave. From the moment I met Steve and Diane, there was an instant connection and I knew that I would be making frequent visits to their cozy cottage. Steve and Diane provided everything you could need to have a quiet, private, and romantic weekend. They were very respectful of our privacy, yet readily available if we needed anything (including maps to the nearby trails!). Activities are plentiful and close from hiking in the hills to taking a stroll on the beach. I have to say however that my favorite activity was relaxing on the patio reading and taking a dip in the private hot tub. If you are looking for a phenomenal getaway for a weekend or week or longer, you will not be disappointed!
Dianne and Steve went above & beyond as our hosts. In addition to making our stay comfortable, they added a lot of personal touches which made the weekend truly memorable. They welcomed us with champagne and gave us great ideas for restaurants and activities throughout the weekend. They were incredibly kind, thoughtful and still maintained our privacy. The cottage is a gem with a fantastic view of Santa Barbara and of the ocean. It came with all of the amenities we needed. It was a perfect getaway!
A perfect stay at this cottage with beautiful ocean view in the distance. Diane and Steve are gracious hosts, quite experienced in hospitality. The cottage was well appointed, with no detail missed. Diane and Steve call the cottage 'peaceful' and it is all of that and then some. Great place to relax and destress. We highly recommend this amazing cottage and its amazing hosts. We would gladly return.
Frank and I have together or separately traveled to every corner of the world... we have been fortunate and are grateful to have had the means to experience so much. We both agree however that this vacation ranks as one of our best ever in large part because of our stay in this spectacular property. Diane & Steve Pearson are the preeminent hosts who have realized their incredible vision, and they are happy to share it with the world. The description of the property and the photos are breathtakingly accurate... yes... but being there is x100. It is magnificent! The only negative was the fact that we had to leave!

About the Host, Diane & Steve
Diane says. I am a peaceful woman living in gratiude and abundance. Love sunshine, sparkling water on the coastline, a harvest moon reflected on the ocean, scenic nature and beauty. I enjoy people, jazz, yoga, hiking, biking, travel, adventure, dancing, teaching and business.
In addition to careers in law, quality, contracts, and teaching, we founded the AAA 4 Diamond property of Pearson's Pond Luxury Inn and Adventure Spa in Juneau Alaska, as seen in 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, Sunset, Modern Bride and dozens of print and on-air venues. We are blessed to have planned over 1000 destination weddings and travel itineraries to Alaska. We still go back to visit the inn to enjoy the peace, romance and adventure in Juneau, Alaska.
We now enjoy an active retirement in Paradise and love to explore, entertain, garden, and teach. Fitness, hiking, music, writing and design are still passions as well.
Both Steve and Diane are travel consultants, (Steve is a great travel writer and blogger) and both are a great resource if you want to see the highlights and the hidden gems in/near Santa Barbara, California, Juneau, Alaska, and globally.
We like authentic travel throughout the world, and often plan extended stays to experience a destination, its people and culture in real-time. After being in luxury travel/lodging business for 25 years, we realy appreciate great quality and value in our travel and lodging experience, (although we also have enjoyed camping in Bhutan, Grand Canyon, Mt. Whitney and atop a glacier!)
We enjoy relaxing at home enjoying the water gardens, birding, amazing views, high and low adventure and all things in nature.
We also enjoy meeting new people locally and globally. We have long standing friendships with many of our past and repeat guests of our inn in Alaska as well as folks we've met along our travels. We look forward to honoring your privacy, as well as meeting or connecting with you if the opportunity arises.
Carpe Diem! Be present in the moment and live each day to the fullest.
