The holdiay home "Il Nespolo" is an ideal place where one can relax and spend your holiday in a tranquil setting in contact with the sounds and smells of tuscan nature.
The house is situated in the heart of Chianti in a typical hamlet dating from the 1400's surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
In the vicinity are numerous towns of historical and cultural interest where one can visit as well as soaking up the spectacularly beautiful views of the country side.
The house is also only 25km from Florence and 35km from Siena.
The holdiay home "Il Nespolo" was built in the 1400's by the Parish of Campoli (dating from the 1000's) as a convent for the nuns.
In the beginning of the 1800's the house and the hamlet were transformed into civilian homes for the farmers who worked for the Parish.
In 2010 the property was completely renovated.
The house is split over two levels.
On the ground floor there is a spacious dining room with orginal open fireplace which can be utilised as a bbq and a large kitchen supplied with all the necessary utentils.
On the first floor there are two double bedroom,a bedroom with two single bed,the lounge and the bathroom with a box shower.

Our stay in Chianti was delightful. The house is historic yet perfectly renovated and decorated beautifully. It was perfectly situated to explore lovely villages and the great art centers of Florence and sienna. Just ten minutes drive from the attractive local town of San Casciano it is surrounded by vineyards, an ancient church and olive groves. Tommaso was a wonderful host who provided us with tremendous insights into the local area and Italian life. His mother Ernestina baked us a delicious cake!
We were two couples touring Tuscany by bicycle. The house gave us a good base for day rides in Chianti and was easy to reach from Florence. In fact, one day we even took the local bus into Florence for a day of sightseeing.
We were a group of 5 friends who spent 6 days in this lovely hamlet. The house was 600 years old and there was plenty of room for us all as it has 3 good sized bedrooms. The hamlet was set among olives trees and grapes and was a very peaceful setting. A car is necessary as it is about 2 1/2 kms to the nearest village. A bus service nearby goes to Florence for those who dont want to drive. Easy driving to Siena and San Gimignano. We had many interesting chats with Tommaso and he was very helpful with his Knowledge of the area.
Would recommend this property for the overall experience of Tuscany.
Tommaso was a super host who stayed up extra late to assist us in checking in and had very accurate descriptions of all of the local places for us to go and see. We had a stupendous time and loved the villa in the countryside!!
More wonderful than we dreamed! A beautiful old house and spacious. Dips in the landscape looks more like a painting. Although the house is close to any place (10 minutes from Florence) It feels like a very small Tuscan village. There's a forest and organic vegetable garden and a well of natural mineral water.
When we were there Tommaso was not in town but his mother helped us every little thing. Ideas for trips to the parking lot near her home in Florence, etc. she also baked for us cookies (great) and left us in the kitchen a lot of great things. in the pictures you can see how beautiful is the house, but no picture can transfer the feeling of starting the day in that beauty. we hope very much to go there again (and again and again ...)
This beautiful house is in a small hamlet in a lovely area. It's very peaceful and near to some of the main Tuscan experiences as well as surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
The furnishings and contents are of a high standard and very comfortable.
