Tommaso’s place was just what we were looking for after a few weeks of travelling around; quiet, charming and relaxing. The house itself is centuries old, but it still has all you will need to move in, cook your meals and generally do little. There are plenty of walks in the neighbourhood and a lovely winery just down the road. Tommaso gave us unlimited advice on good restaurants and local tips, but we spent a lot of the time around the house just enjoying ourselves. One thing, the farmhouse isn’t isolated; in the nature of Italian farming settlements, there a re a number of properties that originally huddled together for defence. You will have neighbours, but discreet and quiet neighbours who will not interfere in your relaxation
Tommaso not only has a great house with magnificent surroundings, but was helpful in everyway. He shared his garden with plums and zucchini . His home was very clean and comfortable . His restaurant suggestions were fantastic. We hope the return in the future to continue out Tuscany exploration .
Tommaso is a wonderful host and his house in Chianti is just perfect. Tommaso and his mother met us and were so patient and understanding of us as we were very late after misjudging the distance to drive and also getting a bit lost! They greeted us so warmly and gave us delicious home made biscotti / cantucchini and vin santo to enjoy. The house is a gorgeous old typical house of the chianti area, beautifully clean, warm, cosy and has all the facilities you could need. It's set in a small gathering of houses amongst the olive groves and vineyards. Amazingly peaceful and beautiful, and with some lovely walking in the hills nearby. The location is fantastic for exploring Chianti, we had a perfect stay and we were so sad to leave. Tommaso we will be back for sure!!
Everything was just perfect. The way we were welcomed, the house and its charater, the location, the confort of the bed. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but you are actually close to everything. We did a day trip to Florence and San Gimiano and it was as easy as could be!
Thank you very much!
A lovely house in the Tuscan countryside, With three bedrooms, it was perfect for our family. An ideal place to visit Tuscany : Pisa, Firenze, Siena, Greve, San Gimignano... within 100km.
In December, evening by the fireplace in the living room was very confortable and relaxîng.
Tommaso's house is located in the heart of the Chianti country immersed in typical Tuscan countryside. It is a three-level historical building, part of a little hamlet, ideal for a family with two kids.
Tommaso gave us a lot of his time to meet us, take us to the house and provide indications on where to find good restaurants in the area, how to get to Florence and park there but also on how he grows organic food.
All in all a very good experience that I would sincerely recommend.
