  • Peg was absolutely fabulous! She took care of us really well - letting us use her jacuzzi, her cooler, beach chairs, the list goes on and on. The room was great and the view even better! I had a great time in Pensacola - what a great city :).

    Response from Peg:

Thx Emma! We enjoyed meeting you girls as well. Come back again when u can really enjoy our beaches! Have a great summer! Peg

  • We loved staying at Peg and Bills beautiful home. They are gracious, giving people who went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable. It was great to eat breakfast on the deck overlooking the water and watch the sun rise from the cozy bedroom. You can not go wrong staying with them. It is very easy to get to the National Sea Shore Beach, just spectacular with beautiful white sand and sparking (email hidden)eat fish restaurants that they recommended . Best red snapper I have ever had at Flounders

  • We spent 2 nights at Peg's home 25/26 Sept, on our Florida tour, what a fantastic location, with it's own private beach, and yet only 10 minutes from downtown Pensacola.
Although we did not meet Peg, who was away , her friend Yvonne greeted us and showed us where everything was, there is so much to do in and around Pensacola and Peg's home is an ideal place to be based
We would have no hesitation in booking again if we are ever again in Pensacola and we would not hesitate to recommend to friends who are traveling through Pensacola

  • My wife and I had a great stay. The house was beautiful, airy and roomy. It was nice to be off the main tourist strips but still centrally located, to check out downtown Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and Perdido Key. We were surprised to be able to swim from the small beach at the edge of their property and even made our way out to a small sandbar to look for shells and watch the fish jump. The Nautical Room was clean, relaxing, and tastefully decorated. Peg and Bill's kitchen was amply stocked and we really appreciated being able to make our breakfast and then enjoy the view of the water on the deck outside. I'd absolutely recommend a stay here to anyone who's interested, and would certainly stay here again, the next time we're in the area.

  • Another reviewer said it, but I can't help but repeat the thought...staying at Peg and Bill's is the reason that airbnb should exist.

We only stayed for one night, but we were immediately made to feel like family, well-known house guests, not "renters." I had delightful conversations with Peg, sitting in her kitchen, eating a sandwich she kindly offered me. I felt like I was at my aunt's house.

The house itself is lovely with a great location right on the bay. We stayed in a very comfortable room downstairs that opened onto the deck and beach. Our favorite feature might have been the outdoor shower. Or maybe it was the fire pit seating area right outside our room. :-) So many great features!

Browsers should note that the house is 20 minutes or so from Pensacola Beach. If you are looking for the "action" of the beach or a continuous stretch of white sand, this might not be your place.

If you are looking for a very real experience with a nice family in a gorgeous, quite location, complete with your own private beach - this is for you!

  • Peg and her husband were such gracious hosts! They were a great source of info. for restaurants and things to do in Pensacola. They were so open-handed with their home, making us feel entirely comfortable to either retire to our room, make full use of their kitchen, or hang out and chat with them and other guests in the living room. Their home is beautiful in such a scenic setting on the water. It was the perfect get-away for us, and we hope to return!

  • Peggy, Bill, April, and Pat could not have been more gracious hosts. I felt more like one of the family than a guest in their house. The room itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated with the nautical theme. Also, waking up every morning to the water outside of my window was so nice. They had every kind of water recreation item you could want and you literally stepped off your porch onto the beach. But enough about the room, they are the nicest people! Staying with them made what was going to be a stressful solo trip a great vacation. I had homecooked meals with great conversation and was really welcomed by all of them. They will be my first dinner guests when we finally move there! This was my first time using Airbnb and I am spoiled for all other trips. Thank ya'll for welcoming me so wonderfully into your home!

  • Our stay with Peg was great. She was very welcoming and really made us feel at home. The house is in a great location-- only a 10-15 minute drive from Pensacola Beach. Peg has lots of recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The porch looks right over the bay. It's quiet and relaxing and we absolutely couldn't have asked for more. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here to anyone going to the Pensacola area and we will definitely be back.

  • This is our second stay with Peg and Bill. We stayed three weeks ago as we were heading west to visit friends and family in TX, AZ, and NM, and stayed again as we were heading home. Great place, we highly recommend it. We got to know their son and daughter-in-law, (also very delightful people) on this visit as Peg and Bill were also traveling. Our visit could not have been better.

We're a retired couple from Pensacola Florida and have five children and 14 grandchildren. My husband is a retired judge and I am a retired social worker but our passion now is mediation. We both are Civil mediators as well as Certified Christian Mediatiors with Peacemakers. We travel a lot visiting our 5 children and 14 grandchildren all over the country. We live on the water and love the serenity of the view and the fun of water activities. We're big readers and our decks are a perfect spot for that. Our travels have taken us all over the world with our favorite being Cinque Terre. We enjoy meeting people and hear about their life experiences and travels.
