Located on the North side of the Chariton square. Large windows looking towards the courthouse. Light and airy decor. Iron Horse restaurant for lunch or supper along with our friendly Mexican restaurant and The Porch coffee shop, and several more all within walking distance. Vision II movie theater is only 3 blocks away with first-run movies. Southern Iowa charm surrounds you in this pristine historical setting. Be our guest at Braden Place.

The space
This is an old brick building atop our business office. We have completely re-done it, and are ready for our guests. Walking distance to restaurants, theater, coffee shops and churches. A little brick building with an abundance of charm.

Guest access
Entire 2 bedroom space is yours.
Little nooks to pick up a book and relax in quiet spaces. Private laundry room. Besides the 2 bedrooms, there is a couch that folds to a full bed in the living room.

Other things to note
Private garage, so you will pull in and close the door, with remote. The stairs are for your use only, to your space, they are not shared with any other space. Stairs are stairs, front or back. These are not handicap accessible because of the old building. Someone that struggles to get up and down stairs would not enjoy the space to come and go. Lastly, the loft is decorated for each season, letting you feel like you are wrapped in either winter, spring, summer or fall.

Old, town square that is so charming. Pipers chocolates are shipped all around the world and make the best gifts. (Grab a fresh deli sandwich while you’re there). Simple and easy living for a day, week or longer. Iron Horse restaurant and bar for a bit of historical flavor. Safe and private.
