Just a few blocks away, check out the up and coming Southport Corridor and Music Box Theater.

Share this convenient space with fellow travelers like yourself. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast to get your day started while hearing about other guests journeys. Wind down at the end of a long day of site seeing on one of 3 outdoor decks. Learn about where fellow travelers are from and where they are headed. Enjoy impromptu s'mores in the fire pit or a glass of wine with other guests and hosts.

This is an incredibly spacious place for a city dwelling! Great eat in kitchen, wonderful gas burning fireplace for those cold chilly evenings and enormous decks to enjoy the fresh air and sun as well as an amazing view of the city Skyline.

We've got it all! Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Jewel Osco are just a couple of blocks. • Cris and Stephanie were really great hosts -- super friendly and very flexible schedule-wise. The shared house is in a ideal Wrigleyville location that is close to two train stops and several bus routes. If you have a larger party -- between, say, 4 and 10 people -- you will likely have private rooms and/or an entire floor to yourself. The entire building is kept exceptionally clean, and there are several amenities, including modern restrooms, coffee & kitchen snacks, and a backyard with several balconies. Their friendly dog, Penny, was on site the whole time, and although she mostly followed Cris around as he was setting up and cleaning, she would gladly come over for a scratch behind the ears. I definitely recommend this location and the hosts for a convenient, affordable, and friendly stay in Chicago.

  • Chris and Stephanie were awesome, very helpful hosts. The house was great and conveniently located to the surrounding areas. Definitely a trip im going to remember.

  • An enjoyable couple and a nice place in a great neighborhood. My room was simply a screened off area of the living room with a bed, night stand, luggage holder, etc. Which was fine for me since I was rarely there. But they also have other rooms in the same property that have their own private entrances, etc. It's not the Hilton, but neither are the prices. And the neighborhood is great, close to Wrigleyville.

  • Had a wonderful time for 5 nights in June in the home of Cris and Stephanie. If you are looking for an accessible location, warm hosts, clean towels, and yummy breakfast to kick start the day, this is the place to book. Cris picked us from the nearby EL station and even lent us a guidebook to Chicago and gave us good tips on where to go. As they work from home, being able to check in anytime was a really convenient option. If you like noodles, there is a fusion noodle place just next to Southport station which is nice.

  • Chris and Stephenie are great hosts and have a beautiful home. My flight got delayed and didn't arrive until 1am or so, but Chris stayed awake to greet me. The breakfast they have in the mornings is great - was really impressed with all the amenities. Super convenient location right by the brown and red "el" lines, too! Would recommend highly and look forward to staying again during my next visit to Chicago

  • I had a very positive experience staying with Cris and Stephanie! The space was well kept, and they did a wonderful job of making sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay in Chicago. They really know and love this city and that, combined with a clean, well kept place in a very good location, made for an awesome first Airbnb experience. I would gladly stay with them again on any future trips to Chicago and highly recommend that you consider their space.

  • Cris & Stephanie are great hosts - I can recommend them for your visit to Chicago - they're very helpful and were happy to pick us up from the train station, give us a tour of the local lay of the land, and to recommend lots of yummy eateries in the area. Their local knowledge is invaluable. Also they're just both lovely to have a chat to when you get home at the end of the day. If you want privacy then make sure you get a room. Otherwise, if you're happy to have hostel like accommodation that just happens to be in a lovely home, then you could go with one of the living room options.

Hello Fellow Traveler! We welcome you to our Airbnb listing and appreciate that you wish to learn more about us as your potential hosts. We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to sharing with you what we love about Chicago:) Why have we opened our home? We arrived about 3 summers ago for a 3 day business trip, fell in love with Chicago and never left. This is our 3rd summer! Since we are both adventurous spirits, with some trepidation, we tried this thing called "AirBNB". We had such a great experience because of our host; we thought we would pay it forward. What has been our favorite experience hosting so far? Lollapalooza:) Who are we? Chris and I met in High School and reconnected on the site that begins with Face and ends with Book a couple of years ago. We think we have quite the love story that resulted in a proposal a few years back and would be happy to share it with you on one of your relaxing evenings on our deck or over a cup coffee while you are sorting out your travels for the day-but we promise not to bore you with it! What are we doing here? After we reunited, we had the amazing opportunity to become Environmental Stewards for a wonderful company that brought us to Chicago. One of our company's core values is to stimulate the local economy, find other Environmental Stewards like ourselves and train them for leadership roles. (Another great story if you are out of sorts from your trip and can't sleep one nite-and of course care to hear it:) ) What we think about ourselves as hosts? We pride ourselves in being open and available hosts for a chat, a recommendation, throwing darts, a game of scrabble or an impromptu cook out or s'mores on the fire pit but we also completely respect your privacy and understand this is your trip. We only wish to ensure your travels are more than you would have hoped for thru spending time at our home and meeting other guests. Where have we been? Chris is an Army Brat and has lived all over the States and I have traveled around Europe while living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years. Places Chris has lived: He spent his youth in San Antonio, Hawaii, Denver, Colorado Springs and Maryland (the DC area). As an adult, he lived in Kansas City for a bit, he settled for many years in Norman, Oklahoma (if you've heard of it), Dallas/Ft. Worth, back to Maryland (to get me;)) and now Chicago. Places Chris has traveled to: Boston and other parts of Massachusetts in which he has tons of family and for our business, all over New Jersey (our company has a HUGE presence there and helped tremendously with the Hurricane Sandy clean up), many parts of PA (we really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh), Philly a few times (best sandwiches we have found yet!) and many more. Stephanie lived most of her life in the Maryland area traveling for work in the DC and Virginia areas but joining her friends on their business trips in the States to visit as many cities as possible. Of course, the fun-damentals like Las Vegas, Miami Beach (along with many other Florida cities that my family lives such as Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville) and NYC. More relaxing fun in Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC (where my mom has retired), Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ (where my brother used to live), San Diego and Coronado (a couple of times since they are some of my favorite), Hawaii (to see the first grandchild in our family), L.A. (had the opportunity to cruise Monterey's 17 mile drive)... Stephanie's European Travels: Of course many of the big cities like Paris (the food!), Munich (best airport ever!), Frankfurt, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Bilbao, Gothenburg, Sweden (for a dear friends wedding), but also some off of the beaten path that became my very favorite memories like Morocco, Tunisia and more.... Places we will go: Brazil, Fiji, South America, Canada....
