Full sterilization cleaning per CDC. Conveniently located between midtown and downtown, our light-filled house offers you a stylish and relaxing home during your visit to this chill So Cal beach city. Whether you are coming for a quick escape to the beach or a longer term refuge, our place is the perfect space for up to 8. Let our house be your home base as you explore the charm and beauty that our Ventura has to offer. STVR tax #2348. No parties or events allowed.

The space
The house has an effortlessly relaxed, open feel, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a large yard and off street parking. Our street is all residential, with mid-century homes set back from the street and situated between midtown and downtown. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach. You can enjoy all the outdoor spaces where you can smell the ocean, check out the fruit trees or dine al fresco. The bedrooms are styled clean and simply, like the rest of the house with a perfect mix of modern and vintage touches. The largest bedroom looks out to the back yard and has a Queen bed, a desk, and ensuite bathroom. One of the bedrooms has 2 single beds; a trundle bed that stores under the other. The kitchen was recently remodeled and is easy to use, whether you are pulling together dinner for your family or a quiet breakfast for 1 or 2. The table in the dining room can accommodate 8 people, and has a nice flow with a pass-through window from the kitchen. The living room has a large sofa, fireplace and a TV with Netflix and Amazon pre-loaded. Perfect for enjoying a cozy night at home. We have a shaded seating area outside the kitchen, making dining al fresco under the cafe lights also a nice way to end the day.

No unplanned pets- if you are interested in bringing a pet, please be in touch about it first. Usually we are happy to accommodate them and we will request a pet fee.

The house is located in a quiet residential area. Maintaining trust and good relations with our neighbors, many of whom are close friends, is very important. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am, per Ventura municipal code. No events, parties or loud music. Indoor smoking is not allowed. Violation of any of these policies will result in an automatic forfeiture of your security deposit. We also ask, out of consideration for our neighbors and public health concerns during the pandemic, that you follow social distancing guidelines to reduce the spread of the corona virus.

Please note, the house is only one level but is several steps up from street level whether you come in by the front door or the steps that come up from the driveway. Also, please note there is a Ring video door bell at the front door that looks onto the driveway and the street. It doesn't see inside the house or the yard.

About our rates:
The rate you are charged may be different from what you first see as the nightly rate. We don't have total control over how the nightly rate is presented. As with most vacation rentals, the pricing varies according to the time of year, day of the week, and number of guests for your particular reservation. Weekends and summer reservations are a little higher. Longer stays of a week or a month are subject to a discount. Additional guests, beyond the first 2, are charged at $20/person/night. Per Ventura regulations, 10% Lodging Tax is charged to reservations less than 30 days. Please let us know in advance if you intend to bring your pet. Where you’ll be

Ventura, California, United States

Our home is a wonderful place to get away from your routine and do a full reset. We are on a quiet street that runs between two more active streets. The beach is a 10 minute walk. At the far end of the block is Cafe Nouveau, one of the most popular brunch/lunch places in Ventura. Within a mile you can walk to Prospect Coffee or Singing Sun Coffee for fantastic artisanal roasts, Spencer MacKenzie for famous fish tacos or a short stroll over the pedestrian overpass to Ventura Pier. We also like Barrel 33 for intimate but casual dinners, Cafe Zack (restaurant in a converted bungalow), and Transmission Brewery, all nearby each other. But, if you like restaurants, ask away... we have lots of suggestions, depending on your food interests. Other neighborhood favorites include Grass Roots Yoga with drop-in classes every day for all levels. And a running store, Mile 26. Downtown Ventura (a 5 minute drive from the house) is reminiscent of 'old California' beach towns. You will find the original Ventura Mission and the Ventura County Museum, unique shops, a variety of cafes, and the vintage Majestic Theatre as well as some of the best thrift stores in Southern California. If you're here on a Saturday, you won't want to miss the Ventura Farmer's Market from 8:30am - noon. Going to the beach? You can take our beach chairs, towels and cooler with you. Or how about the Great Outdoors? World class surfing, biking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, whale watching as well as Channel Islands National Park, accessible by ferry. There are plenty of great possibilities.
