This airy, sunny suite showcases the lithographs of French artists Raymond Moretti and Jean Cocteau. When you walk into the room you’ll be wowed by the intense blues and intricate designs on the two hand-crafted rugs from Afghanistan and French-crafted tapestry coverlets in this room. This suite includes a privacy divider that’s perfect for close friends wishing to share a suite or for parents with small children—we even stashed away some children’s books for their enjoyment.

The space
When you walk through our mansion's formal double doors, you'll feel like you stepped back in time, without sacrificing any of today's modern conveniences. With key-less, remote locks on all our doors and the finest linens and room decor, you'll immediately feel relaxed and pampered in our luxurious, spacious mansion. Built in 1901, our 13,000-square-foot Georgian residence has six bedrooms available to our guests, plus five bathrooms, a fitness center, community spaces and much more.

When you book a stay at The Starkey Mansion, you’ll get a glimpse of Mary Louise Starkey’s legacy in our hallways, where photos of graduates from the Starkey International Institute for Household Management grace the walls. For nearly 40 years, The Starkey Mansion has been home to the best of students taking courses on Household Management, fine housekeeping, etiquette, formal entertainment and the culinary arts. Mrs. Starkey’s 1,600 graduates have gone on to manage the private lives of the high-net-worth around the world.

Here in our gorgeous home, we have not overlooked any detail for your comfort. You'll have access to the historic mansion’s astounding common areas. The first floor library’s features include a grand piano, cozy fireplace and Mrs. Starkey’s impressive book collection. Across the formal foyer, you’ll enjoy relaxing on our plush couches in front of our sitting room fireplace. In this room, be sure not to miss the stunning Iranian antique rug, or the Picasso and other lithographs hanging on the walls.

With its glittering chandelier and displays of fine china and silver, the formal dining room is available to rent out for business meetings or gatherings. You’ll feel like a guest of a modern-day Downton Abbey in this room! For more than 20 years, Mrs. Starkey has hosted multiple nine-course formal dinners at this 12-person table, where her students practiced for weeks on end to perfect the techniques of the queen’s mirrored service.

The chef’s kitchen has everything you could need to satisfy your culinary dreams: 12 stove tops, copper pans and pots, two dishwashers and more.

Treat yourself to a coffee or espresso at our full espresso bar when you wake up in the morning.

The lower level of The Starkey Mansion is your place to play and relax. We have billiards, darts and a poker table in our game room, and in our fitness room, you can work up a sweat on our Nordic Track treadmill and bike and total body strength machine. When it’s time to unwind from a long day working or exploring all that Denver has to offer, we have a massage table and our private masseuse available to book a massage at your convenience.

Don’t miss our best kept secret garden and fully landscaped retreat in the rear protected by our 10-foot wall, with a stone patio, tables, wine vines, statuary, a barbecue for your culinary creations, an herb garden, and Mrs. Starkey’s favorite roses, peonies, and Rose-of-Sharons when in season.

My first job was as a butler for Princess Grace and Prince Rainier of Monaco. I've traveled around the world on yachts, opened my own restaurant in San Francisco and worked as a butler and chef for 35 years. My wife Mary and I love to travel and visit our high-net-worth clients around the country, where we help them experience the highest standards of luxury service in their homes. She has owned a Household Management Institute for 40 years training and placing Household and Estate Managers in homes. Service to us is paramount to your experience. It's time you come and visit and see it for yourselves--we can't wait to have you.
