A special feature of the plateau is the windmills, Diktaion Andron (in the village of Psychro) where Zeus was born in mythology.
Also, the visitor can see the cave Kronio (in Tzermiado) and the Minoan civilisation of Karfi. Visit the monastery of Vidiani, Kroustalenia and Kera.
The more adventurous can have the opportunity to see the gorge of the Havga, Limnakaros and reach the top of Lasithi the Afentis Christos.
