Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Alberta's apartment. It is in the heart of Pigneto, which although 30-40 minutes walk from the city centre is perfectly well served by public transport. However, we enjoyed walking to and from the apartment - making sure we stopped for a coffee/ice cream along the way! Pigneto is well served by a number of good restaurants, which we have given the details of to Alberta - but Pigneto Quarantuno, gianni's and the pizzeria just outside the building were our firm favourites - mainly because of the very good value, and very satisfying house wine!

The room is off a corridor which has 3 other similar rooms. It is comfortable and not too noisy, although if you are a very light sleeper you may struggle with some Italian road noise! The bed is actually two singles, but fine for two. We didn't use the air conditioning, but it was available.

Alberta picked us up from Termini station, which we got the bus to. Note, the Ryanair bus doesn't go to either of the places where all the others do - so if travelling from Ciampino, make sure to know you'll have to move to the pick-up point. Though it's still only €8 return from the airport.

We loved our stay in Rome. The apartment was the perfect base. Close to nice restaurants for the evening, close to public transport for the day and in an area of Rome which wasn't a tourist-trap at all. I thoroughly recommend Alberta's apartment!

    Response from Alberta:

Thanks for the nice review Gopos.
In the house you've forgotten a large umbrella that will be used by future guests and the food (chicken in the freezer) that I'm cooking for me.
If you go back to Rome in Via L'Aquila!.
    Good luck.

    Buona fortuna.

  • This is very nice & clean flat, the location is quite convenient. Great value for money and it is strongly recommended!

  • Alberta was a very welcoming host. She picked us up from the Termini station and drove us back to our flat. She then took time to explain everything in detail and gave up great tips for the surrounding location. It's very well situated but everything is accessible by bus (not walking). There is a nice street with lots of bars and restaurant that is not too expensive near by which was great for a late night drink. I would recommend Alberta's apartments.

  • we spent a great time in the grey house. There was everthing we needed (kitchen, internet,...).
Alberta and her daughter are very nice. They came to the termini station to drive us to the flat despite our late arrival, it was so pleasant.
    thanks a lot Alberta !

    Buona fortuna.

  • Alberta's place was a wonderful place to stay in a very artsy/boho neighborhood. The apt itself was clean and had all the amenities we needed--towels, fridge, ac, wifi, and even toiletries. She picked us up from the central station, making our commute very easy. The apt is right next to a bus stop that will take you to all the sites. I totally recommend staying in the grey room.

    Response from Alberta:

    Dear Esther,
I thank you for the nice review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it and you appreciate my services. I've organized your welcome to Termini station taking into account the interest you to arrive early in the house but also of my interest in avoiding long waits in the house or at Termini station.
Thank you again for how you left the house. I know that it is inconvenient to clean the house because there was many furnitures and you've cleaned so well that the took me little time to prepare for new guests.
I hope you and your partner all the best.

  • We had an excellent week in Rome staying at Alberta's house. The room was spacious, clean and had everything that we needed. The area was perfect as well. Since it is a little bit out from the city centre, eating and drinking was so much cheaper (breakfast was half the price of in the centre!) and there are lots of nice bars just around the corner. The house is very well connected to public transport with a bus to Termini every 5 mins and one to the Colosseum every 15-20 mins which means you can easily get to all the key locations in a very short time. I highly recommend staying here and I would stay again.

    Thanks Stefanie,
I am glad that you've been good. Maybe you have not been lucky with the weather but at least for the rest of it was fine. For me it was a pleasure to host you. I wish you every happiness. Alberta
mi fa piacere che tu sia stata bene. Forse non sei stata fortunata con il tempo atmosferico ma almeno per il resto è andato tutto bene. Per me è stato un piacere ospitarti. Ti auguro ogni felicità. Alberta

  • Me and my husband had a wonderful time at Alberta's house. From day one, she was very helpful, and offered to pick us up at the train station on her car.
The room was very comfortable, clean and had a nice renovated bathroom with a nice shower. The bed was really comfortable and help us relax after a long walk on the city.
The location was great. Both tram and bus stations were just in front of the building, having direct connections to Termini and Vatican.
On our last day, as she was near the building, she offer to take us back to the Termini station, which was a great help since we had a lot of luggage.
We highly recommend Alberta's apartment for your stay in Rome.

Thank you Lucy for the positive review. I put myself in the position of the guest and give my contribution to the solution of small problems. When the guests appreciate my services I feel very gratified. I wish to you and your husband all the best.
metto nella condizione dell'ospite e do il mio contributo alla risoluzione di piccoli problemi. Quando il gli ospiti apprezzano i miei servizi mi sento molto gratificata. Auguro a te a tuo marito tutto il bene possibile.

  • We stayed at Alberta's apartment in the end of November for 4 days, and I couldn't say that we completely enjoyed our trip.

+ Alberta was a very friendly and helpful host. She met us at Termini station (as a courtesy) and brought us home. All instructions were very clear.
+ The location is good: 20-25 minutes on a bus or a tram from Via del Corso and another central street. The bus from the centre stops in 3-4 minutes from the apartment, and you can get on a bus to a centre right in front of the house - very convenient.
+ The district is great: many really good hip bars, cafes and restaurants at Via del Pigneto.
+ The apartment was very clean and accurate, although it was smaller than seemed on pictures and the interior is quite basic. It shares one hall with 3 other rooms, but we never met anyone else.

    - We stayed in November, and it was really cold in the apartment because of the tile floor. Thermostat helps, but it automatically turned off in night several times.
    - The drain smelled really bad - it needs to be cleaned.
    - The bed is big, but in reality there are 2 separate mattresses.
    - During our last night there was no hot water in the apartment.
    - THE NOISE! The street with pretty active traffic - including buses and garbage trucks - is right under the window, which is quite thin. You can literally hear everything! It's really hard to sleep.

Alberta is a great host, the location and general quality are very good, although I would recommend the apartment only if you are 100% sure you will be able to cope with noise.

  • We stayed over a weekend. From Roma Termini there is tram 5 and 14 goes to her place in 15 minutes. So convenient for arriving and leaving Rome and accessible to center of town. Apartment has hot plate and microwave ktichen arrangement good for simple meals and reheating food. Good size refrigerator. Shower and toilet, a little tight, but clean and fully functioning. Alberta walks through in her best effort English to know how the apartment functions and wifi. Washer is shared in the hall with rooftop drying lines. The apartment has only lace curtains so you get bright morning sun. And its on the fourth floor (american scale) or 3rd floor euro. Overall we enjoyed it, great location and made for an affordable and wonderful time in Rome.

Aquila 52 B'n'B
