Jenny and Doug were lovely hosts and their home is set in an idyllic location in beautiful Port Macquarie.
We stayed for a number of nights around the Ironman Australia race and had a relaxing and wonderful time. Easy access whenever we needed and privacy when we wanted. Separate room for TV and lounging was nice too.
A lovely home with great river view. Jenny provided details for kitchen, breakfast supplies and options for cooking our own dinner if we chose or restraints in Port Macquarie. A bit of a surprise crossing a ferry to get there but good fun. The room was tidy with a separate bathroom/toilet, which was adequate for our overnight stay.
Our stay at Jenny's place was great. They have a beautiful place right on the water in Port Macquarie. They were extremely helpful and kind to us and we even got a chance to do some Kayaking in the morning. Only a 10/15 minute drive from the city. Highly recommend.
We were greeted by Jenny and her warm family upon arrival at her place after which we were showed to our beautiful room that had the perfect view of the port and sunset. Being our first visit to the port, we were clueless about what to do and eat and it was nice that Jenny and her family came up with suggestions for us.
We felt really welcomed by their warm gestures and the cherry on top of the cake came in the form of a perfect dinner on the second night where Doug grilled up an excellent steak meal accompanied by dishes prepared by Jenny. We had a wonderful time talking over dinner and wine and unexpectedly, they invited us to catch a movie together with the family which we thought was an extremely kind gesture and spoke volumes of their hospitality.
We wished we had more time to spend with the family but we'll be back again to visit for sure.
We were made to feel very welcome. What a marvellous location. Great place to relax.
Amazing place ! Jenny & Doug were brilliant hosts along with simba the dog and milo the cat. The only thing we regret is not spending more time at this lovely spot.
