Our home is in the downtown historic district, within walking distance to Tryon Palace, the North Carolina History Center, downtown New Bern, restaurants, antique shops, convention center, Union Point park and the waterfront.

The downtown historic district in New Bern, within walking distance of the house, offers a variety of amenities and entertainment venues. You can get a coffee and pastry or breakfast at a coffee shop or restaurant, take a yoga class, see a community theater based production, go to the YMCA, shop at the eclectic boutiques and shops downtown and stop for a drink and/or dinner on your walk back. The New Bern waterfront is easily accessible on foot if you want to take a walk along the water. Union Park offers many activities in the warmer months such as outdoor concerts and fourth of July fireworks. If you are up for a drive, there are several beaches and downtown Beaufort approx. 42 miles south.
