Five minutes to the entrance of Volcanoes National Park with Kilauea Volcano and endless hikes.
Come enjoy Volcano Village with many local artist studios, restaurants, Volcano Village Store, gas station, post office and other local attractions.
Aloha Liona Place Ohana studio is attached to the host's main house but with its own separate private entrance and Lanai screen porch. Check in is via keyless entry, and recommended before 8pm with support, after 8pm ok but self supported. Private guest Wifi included, 485 Mbps download / 22 Mbps upload. Wifi login info listed in studio space. The guest rated "very comfy" queen bed with down comforter and high quality sheets (flannel sheets in winter due to temps can drop to low 50's at night, warmer sleeping cloths recommend) sleeps up to 2 adults. Notification before arrival requested to set up the memory foam mattress single bed and dressed before arrival.
High end linens and multiple luxury towels provided.
There is Food Station with hot plate, microwave, mini fridge/freezer, coffee system, electric water kettle, toaster/convection oven, dishes & cutlery, glasses, wine glasses and cooking utensils. Purified water supplied in studio via 5 gal water dispenser.
Beach towels provided in the room for guests. Beach chairs, umbrella and cooler can be supplied upon request.
There are two Thai food trucks minutes away in Volcano Village with take out starting at $14.00 for a in studio meal. Local restaurants info (dine-in or w/ takeout) available in guest book and info of local east side Hawaii island sites/attractions. Hawaii Island information books available in room.
Hand soap dispenser, body wash, shampoo and conditioner supplied. Streaming TV, Wifi, small dining table, closet w/ hangers and suitcase holder stands. The space is aired, sanitized and cleaned thoroughly between each guest experience. All sheets, duvet cover, towels, linens changed between every guest. Enjoy the stars and night sky in the lounge chairs around a fire pit surrounded by Volcanoes forest and host's tropical gardens. Relax in garden hammock. Watch Red Cardinals & local birds feed from bird feeders outside the screen porch. For those looking for a peaceful private experience not having to worry about interacting with others on property, you will be only guests on property, this is the place. Host is onsite for easy access if needed.
Minutes away from Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park which is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day including holidays. Park entrance is free in the evenings/night and entrance fee is charged during the days. Hilo the closest major town is 20-30 minute drive north. Punaluʻu Beach (also called Black Sand Beach) is a beach between Pāhala and Nāʻālehu towns on the Big Island, a 20 minute drive south. Punaluʻu Beach beach has black sand made of basalt and was created by lava flowing into the ocean which exploded as it reaches the ocean and cools. Turtles often can bee seen sunning on this beach. The Green sand beach at South Point is about 15 minutes past the black sand beach. A book of attractions and of information and local eateries is available in room for your pleasure.
