2 cosy comfortable double bedrooms available for 1-4 people in our 3 bedroom home which is situated in a peaceful tree lined cul de sac around a 25 minute walk to Dublin City Centre. Our Edwardian home is full of character with many of the original features such as fireplaces, detailed plasterwork and original wooden floorboards combined with all the modern comforts.
The area has lovely restaurants, bars, cafes and parks for you to enjoy and Dublin City Centre is approximately a 25 min walk or else there are buses every few minutes from right outside the house. It is also a 10 minute walk from the famous "Croke Park" Stadium. It is also ten minutes drive from Dublin Airport with the option of the air coach (up to every half hour) which leaves you right outside the house also.
Both rooms consist of extremely comfortable double beds and they face out on to the quiet south facing garden. We supply bath towels for guests to sue during their stay.
Relax in the sitting room with the open fire lit and watch satelite tv or a movie or cook yourself a nice meal to eat in the kitchen or the dining room or garden...weather permitting :) We love to cook so the kitchen has every cooking utensil you could wish for!

This was my first experience not only traveling abroad, but also using AirBNB. I am delighted to say that Julia and Caroline provided a welcoming and comfortable first experience that I would highly recommend. Not only were accommodations comfortable for 4 people, but their recommendations were exceptional. They made our busy holiday memorable. The neighborhood has great restaurants and shops in walking distance. This also being the first stop In our two week vacation, the access to laundry and functioning kitchen was extremely helpful. They also went above and beyond being available for questions. Would highly recommend for short or long term stay!
Julia and Caroline have a lovely house, that is easy accessible from the airport by public transport. Also the city center of Dublin is only a few minutes away by bus. We only stayed for the weekend so we didn't really make use of the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. All though we didn't meet our hosts they made our stay perfect!
Thanks for the review.
The house is a very old period house, over 100 years old so the plumbing reflects this. The water does run in the toilet as it does a lot of old properties. Apologies if this was an inconvenience.
Also we list both bedrooms as double rooms which include a double duvet. We had made this clear to you when booking. Hopefully your daughters still enjoyed the stay, maybe in future a listing with single beds would be a better option.
We loved staying in Caroline and Julia's beautiful home - I would rate our experience as 5 stars across the board - I'm not very good with these on line surveys - so if I press the wrong buttons please understand it's been a 5 star/ A plus experience in every possible way!
I only have positive things to stay about our stay at Caroline and Julia's cosy home away from home in Dublin! Their communication was always prompt and very helpful. They were very generous to share their lovely home with us. All of the beds were AMAZING. I mean really amazing. I'm very fussy and not always a good sleeper (especially in unfamiliar places) but I slept like a log in the bed and so did my husband and daughter. Actually the bed is more comfortable than our bed at home and the duvet so lovely and comforting. The house itself was extremely cosy and comfortable, with loads of character that I personally find interesting and the hosts were very generous in supplying lovely Irish soda bread, cereal and fruit every morning and they happily let us use their kitchen and fridge (sorry for taking over girls!) at any time and had even bought special coffee for me to try and shared their gorgeous French cheese with us. There's a little corner store very close for last minute purchases and bigger supermarkets not far away. They will also advise on local restaurants etc. They allowed us to wash our clothes which is very handy with 7 weeks away from home. The Wifi was excellent and we appreciated being able to use it. We could relax in their kitchen or lounge room and had the house to ourselves during the day (although we ourselves were often out sightseeing -Dublin was in easy reach by a bus near to the house and even further afield - the bus system in Ireland is excellent). They never made us feel that we were intruding and just made us feel welcome at all times and we really enjoyed our chats. They've travelled a lot and they shared interesting tips and stories with us. This was our first Airbnb experience and 10 seconds within walking into this house I knew I had picked the right accommodation. So much so that upon leaving for London I was quite depressed. I really enjoyed staying here and regret not staying in Ireland longer. I highly recommend it as do my husband and daughter and if I was ever so lucky to be able to visit Dublin again, I would book this house again with these two very lovely and helpful hosts. Thanks again ladies!
Hi there... I'm Julia a 30 year old currently living and working in Dublin. I live with my partner Caroline in our 3 bed edwardian house in Dublin city which we bought almost 3 years ago. In our spare time we enjoy travelling, going to the gym, playing tennis, cooking, surfing and playing and listening to music.
